  1. Hello. I updated my 2017 GMC Canyon with the 2018 charging pad several years ago. I had to buy the charging pad from GM and the pins and end plug from Mouser Electronics to make the special harness. A lot of work. Cut to the chase here. The complete module kits that is plug and play are here: https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2018-wireless-charging-module-kit-adapter/ or here. https://www.infotainment.com/products/general-motors-wireless-smartphone-charging-retrofit-kit?variant=10089207398436 zoz
  2. I bought the 2021 Here factory update for my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. It was $99. It took 45 minutes to install. You can drive the truck while it is installing. I update my factory GPS every year. Since I tow and have rear camera on my RV (one monitor connected) and TPMS (another monitor connected), I don't need a phone app running or external Garmin running at the same time cluttering up my interior. I used the facory GPS on a trip and after a stop and a new destination was entered, the factory navigation screen froze. It did not respond to touch commands. It is always good to have a supplemental navigation app on your phone with you when this happens. I was able to use Apple maps to successfully get me to my destination. The GMC factory navigation screen returned to regular operation the next day. Another really suprising thing, we just got a turnabout intersection in my town. On the day of the map update and while returning home, I went specifically to the turnabout and the map intersection had change significatly to mark me through. It wasn't a complete circle, but it sort of was there. zoz
  3. Wireless charging is a cool feature. I have it on my new GMC truck. But after reading this article, I'll stick with wired charging with the 29W USB-C fast charger. http://www.zdnet.com/article/iphone-x8-wireless-charging-will-wear-out-the-battery-faster-than-cable-charging/ zoz
  4. Mouser Electric has the red plug connector and the pins. The red plug is 571-2035363-4. The pins are 571-1924955-1. zoz
  5. No. It wasn't worth my time as mine is now under warranty. zoz
  6. I spent the better part of a week outfitting my 2017 GMC Canyon Denali with the 2018 GM #13521066 charger. Phil (pgamboa) went cruising and his harness parts went on back order so I obtained the plug and connected it myself. Pretty green light illuminated when charging. I want to thank Phil publically for his communication and skills in the charger conversion as he is an asset to this forum. Yesterday, I traded the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali in on a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali which has the larger charging pad and Qi. Now, can you believe that? What the? zoz
