Hello! Have a 2014 Silverado 1500 Work Truck. I love this trim because it gives me a ton of options to level it up! I bought it with 105k on the dash and it had only one owner before me. They took immaculate care of it so I can pick up where they left off. Gave it a nice thorough inside detail and washed it so it's looking prime.
I started upgrading and adding mods, but quickly realized now that it's just under 130K miles it's time for a maintenance overhaul. ChatGPT hooked me up with a 300k mile ownership maintenance plan and a maintenance overhaul list to get everything operating as best as it can. Snapped 3 AC belts so I just changed the AC compressor and I have a nice leak in the radiator. So while I'm doing the maintenance I'll be doing that as well. I've spent about $1K on everything I need for this overhaul. It'll also be due for an oil change so that will get done. Full transmission service and cleaning with new filter and all. PPE Thermal Bypass Valve and SS Tubes cooler lines. Radiator and all hoses, spark plugs and coils, Front and rear differentials, transfer case, adding new fluid and bleeding the brakes. Cleaning the cold air intake filter and throttle body. Also replacing the belt tensioner and serpentine belt. Everything.
After I'm done with the maintenance overhaul I'm hoping it'll be running even better and smoother than it is now. Currently have a dual battery setup all ready to install, new side steps sitting there, secondary accessory fuse block, some charges to add across the truck. Then next is to black out the front. Backs done. Will be getting new grille and bumper. Black letters. Full black out. Then going to add a couple flood lights to the front, put in heated seats, install a center console instead of having the bucket seat there. Tons to do and I can't wait to get to it all. I'm documenting my journey along the way on YouTube hoping I can at least help one person with everything I do. It's KP Truck Mods & Reviews if you have the same truck and are interested!

This is my 14 Silverado 1500 Work Truck. I got it at 105k on the dash with one owner. They took immaculate care of it and I'm trying to do the same. It's my favorite body style and I plan on it being a 12-15 year truck. My wife's SUV crapped out and we bought her a 26 Traverse. WELL. I've been wanting to upgrade my truck since I got it. SO. I took things into my own hands and started doing some upgrades/mods.
I got a K&N Cold Air Intake and put it in, added a tool box, and then after my wife got her new car I started buying crap left and right. As of now, it has a K&N Oil Catch Can in it, New Led front, 3rd, and rear lights, I upgraded and got nice wheels and tires. Installed a fast charging port. I also replaced the stock chrome bumper with a black one. Next is getting the front grille and bumper gone and blacked out. I have a ton of other stuff I want to do. I use ChatGPT for everything.
Made a maintenance binder and got to thinking... crap. I need to give it a maintenance overhaul. So ChatGPT put me a list together and I'm in the middle of spending about $1k on maintenance items. AC Compressor snapped three belts. Just replaced it. Has a hole in the radiator now... SO. I'm currently a few hundred miles shy of 130k miles.
Going to replace the radiator with upgraded tow package, all the hoses, new spark plugs and coils, bleed brakes and put new fluid in, service the transmission. Drain it, drop the pan, replace the filter, fill it back with new fluid. Putting PPE Thermal Bypass Valve in with SS Tube cooling lines in. Going to drain, clean, and refill the front and rear differentials with new fluid. Service the transfer case. Repair a crack in the windshield. Install LED resistors since I'm getting the flash notifications. Also going to replace the belt tensioner and get a new serpentine belt. Anything and everything to make it run like a new truck. And by the time I'm getting to this work, it'll be oil change time so I'll be doing an oil and oil filter change.
I have a 300,000 mile service and maintenance plan and a binder full of information and tracking logs to get me there! I'm willing to replace the engine and transmission once. I've got a rebuild plan for both built out and parts picked out, shop picked out and all. Going to start buying those parts along the way to make it cheaper when the time comes. I'm doing everything I can to make the current engine and transmission get me to at least 220k miles.

KP's 14 Silverado 1500 Work Truck
Just a few pics of my recently detailed truck. Started doing upgrades, now I'm in the middle of doing a maintenance overhaul. Bought two years ago with 105k on the dash. Now just short of 130k. It had one owner before me who took great care so I have something solid to build off!
Just replaced AC Compressor after it snapped 3 belts. All good now. Leak in the radiator. About to replace the radiator and all the hoses. Spark plugs and coils. Full coolant flush obviously. Bleed the brakes. Drain and service the transmission with new filter and refill. Put on PPE thermal bypass valve and SS Tubes coolant lines. Drain, service and refill front and rear differentials, along with the transfer case. Basically any and all of the fluids. Oh yeah. And at 130k I'm due for an oil change so new filter and oil. I'll also be cleaning my K&N cold air intake filter along with the throttle body.
Basically, I'm in the middle of about $1k worth of maintenance. I wish I could be using the money for upgrades but alas, maintenance is key!!!
