  1. Heres your Sign if it smells bad well its a GM fan boy
  2. True, bought my first car in 1979 68 buick lasabre, burnt 1 qt every 100 miles. That motor was tired. Didnt matter how I drove it. Ive owned so many cars/trucks through the years and never had an oil burner since that old buick. Some people have to be right at all costs. I prefer clarity.
  3. Hes definitely clueless. Cant fix stupid.
  4. Yes hes naturally contrary. Trying to keep up with big sis.
  5. Cant fix stupid
  6. Hey bud you sont have any say what options I have. Cant fix stupid.
  7. Not asking your worthless opinions here move on
  8. Hows that GM koolaid taste? If you believe the oil consumption issue with the L8T 6.6 is caused by driving habits, well I cant help you.
  9. Driving habits do not matter in oil consumption period. Get some help!
  10. I live in the hot desert 1/2 and tall pines cold 1/2. I check and clean the can often.
  11. 2015 the best V8 I ever had coyote motor. Look it up, probably the best small block V8 Ford ever made.
  12. Steady Slow drop I would say. I do have a catch can on it. Seems like a lot of pcv blow buy. Maybe 1/4 can in 3k miles.
  13. Mine had 3 miles on it when I bought it. Break in same here. Good thing I enjoy doing my own maintenance.
  14. Sounds to me like some piston rings might seat at different times depending on driving factors. If I get 200k out of mine I will be happy. Not excited about the oil consumption though. My ladt truck Ford got 217,000 miles with not one drop of oil consumption, at the time of trade in. Coyote 5.0
  15. I have about 15k miles on my install definitely catches fuel/ oil burpup
  16. Haha! Give her the foot and I bet you wont see a difference. Doesnt matter driving style. Once an oil Burner always an oil burner. I did recieve suggestions, that I may pursue, however unrealistic jabber does not stick. Good day.
  17. Bottom line GM manufactured an inferior engine, and now whatever your driving style doesnt matter! Fact!
  18. Awesome now thats how a modern engine should operate
  19. We can agree to disagree
  20. Thanks for the information. It does give one something to think about.
  21. I like your point the question is do I make the non dexos oi change now or wait until the warranty is up? If I wait, damage could occur.
  22. Ya it sucks having to add oil and contantly check it. What do you want for $75k
  23. I do have a catch can on it also, yes the piston ring/piston design seem to be inferior. Im hoping for longevity. 200k+ without engine problems.
  24. I quess only time will tell if this motor lasts 200k+ with the massive oil consumption. Thats where our opinions differ.
