  1. Good for you, I will probably be looking at Fords this weekend. I guess you liked better than the dodge? I just want to forget about this vibration BS so bad!
  2. After 6 months of "vibration frustration", including 20 tires and 16 wheels, the BBB arbitrator says tough luck. The system will flat wear a guy out. On my arbitration date, last Thursday, it was 36 degrees, raining, cab full of 5 large adults and a driver (arbitrator) that didn't want to drive over the speed limit. With these 4 factors, there was very little vibration. Today driving home from work with no rain, 45 degrees and sunny, and just me in the cab, driving 77 mph, it shakes like crazy! Go figure! It's time for me to just take my loss and unload my Silverado but I pledge to use social media to let everyone know to BEWARE. Now I'm thinking a pre 2014 GM truck, a Ford or a Dodge. I can't believe it has come to this.
  3. I am in the process of the BBB lemon law and have a tentative arbitration date of week after Christmas or the first week of Jan. Just a few days ago the vibration was bad and very obvious. The last 2 days it is almost gone. Hard to explain why as I am driving on the exact same roads and same speeds. The difference is road and outside temperatures. It has been near freezing here last couple days where it was 65 deg when I had bad vibration. My concern is that it won't vibrate when I take the arbitrator for test drive. Any ideas or explanations?? It's been a very long and drawn out process to get to arbitration and now conditions have changed. I really don't think these trucks fix themselves! After 20 tires, 16 wheels and 2 new shocks I'm as frustrated as can be!
  4. I have no firm date but was told it should be week after Christmas or first week of January. They did tell me they usually give 10 days notice.
  5. Yes, I've had the issues. I found they do not reply to phone messages or emails. Last week I sent 3 emails and 4 phone messages. The only way I was able to talk with my guy was to keep calling and he finally answered his phone. I really feel this system is designed to wear the customer out until we finally give up! Good luck with yours.
  6. I picked up the truck after the "final repair" and the service manager claims it rides much better. I replied that I have been told that 6 times now and it still is not fixed. I also asked what am I supposed to do when I need to rotate tires? they had no reply other than "we will deal with that when the time comes". So I take it out again and there is absolutely no change. So now I am working with the BBB to get this into arbitration. Amazing how Chevy can't or won't fix this. I am sure they could fix this but choose not and make us customers go through this painful process. I will let you all now how things end up.
  7. Please let us all know how it ends up!
  8. I am currently going through the BBB process and it requires a final attempt to repair. GM has one last chance. So after putting the 20" wheels back on there was some improvement. I took a GM regional rep out and she admitted there was a vibration. For the final fix attempt the GM Engineer recommends replacing the two rear shocks and installing two "special" rear tires that should road force balance at less than one pound. So after this truck has has had 18 different tires and 14 different wheels installed on it they think that 2 "special" tires and 2 new shocks will fix it. WOW. What the heck am I supposed to do when I need to rotate tires? If this doesn't fix it we will go to arbitration. This has been a very painful process. I just wish GM would admit the issue and get it fixed. They have ruined their reputation with me.
  9. First thing this morning, I take my 2015 Silverado LT CC in for the fifth time for vibration issues. They plan to go back to 20" wheels because they blame the 22" wheels. You can see my history in my previous posts. One other time I had it in the shop they gave me a truck to drive and it drove just fine. When they blame my complaints on the road conditions I kept telling them that the loaner truck you gave me didn't vibrate on the same roads. This past weekend my son was in town with his 2007 Sierra that I bought new, it now has 145,000 miles on it. I drove it on the same roads and even it with bald tires rides much better and does not vibrate. So the kicker is they gave me a loaner today to drive and it has 100 miles and vibrates really bad. what the heck is going on?? Is Chevy really that bad now? Are they trying to show me that this is the new norm? Wow, if it is they will be out of business soon. Just not acceptable to me that a truck with 145,000 miles is a better riding truck than a brand new $40,000 truck. We will see but I really doubt that the 20" wheels will make any difference. Vibration Frustration continues.
  10. So now they tell me I need to go back to 20" wheels. When I bought my truck I spent extra money (lots of it) to get GM Accessory 22" wheels and tires. So after 4 trips to the dealer and numerous new wheels and tires. They day I need to go back to 20" wheels. What have they discontinued all 22" GMC wheels for the Shaker trucks? Is there a bulletin on that?? I really feel If I do go to 20" wheels that will only let them know that its not the wheels and tires. The main reason I went to the 22" wheels was I didn't like any of the factory 20" wheels. I look through most (not all) of these posts on this topic and I see nothing about the diameter of the wheels being an issue. WOW! what next.
  11. I have a shaker, vibration frustration! First I want to say I have always been a Chevy and GMC truck guy. I used to brag to everyone how I buy a new truck and never need to see my dealer again for service. Well my luck ran out. I have purchased new trucks starting in 1990, then 1997, had a 2001 a 2007 And a 2013. Never anything like this. My problem truck is a 2015 built in Oct. of 2104. It is a crew cab Silverado LT. 5.3 engine. I now have just over 3000 miles on it. Been to the dealer 4 times for the vibration issue. So far I have had 10 new tires put on and 6 new wheels put on it. They won't budge that it is a tire and wheel issue. I'm getting really tired of hearing we road force balanced and Pico Scoped everything and it should be fine this time. I have contacted GM customer service and felt like I was talking to a wall. They try to say it is the road I drive on, I call B.S. My 2013 GMC and the loaner truck I have driven way too much doesn't shake and vibrate on that same highway. I guess I will just have to keep taking it back, what a pain! GM really needs to own up to this issue because they are going to ruin their reputation very soon with me. I also had them tell me the last service (4 new tires and 2 new wheels) should take care of 90% of my vibration! What, I didn't just pay 40 k for a truck that can only be 90% fixed!
