Yup and that's exactly my point. Should I worry about upgrading the converter cover to Jaspers billet option or would I be better off buying an entirely different torque converter. I'm certainly not opposed to buying whatever I need to now to prevent this from happening in another 4-5 years because this is ridiculous in my opinion.

I'll see if I can find either Red Line D6 or Amsoil option around here in town. I noticed Jasper offers a billet converter cover for their 6l80e torque converters, is it worth doing that upgrade?

I've just ordered a SURE-COOL cooler (STL010) and should have it delivered in just a few days. The Jasper rebuilt transmission should be here next Friday. I'm still debating on buying a 6L90 torque converter at this point.

Well just had the truck towed from the dealer over to a local mechanic who's going to throw in a rebuilt Jasper transmission. I'm going to call around tomorrow about getting a 6L90 torque converter for the new rebuild. Any other upgrades I should due to try to avoid this issue that is plaguing GM's?

@Grumpy Bear - So what's the actual part(s) and part number(s) that I need to have them add to this expensive bill already to ensure this doesn't happen again in 80,000 miles?

6 speed. Service history I typically followed the recommended 2016 silverado schedule. Oil changed every 3,000 miles and tires rotated - air and cabin filter was changed about every other oil change. Changed the brake and transmission fluid at 46,000.

Well this is rather annoying. Bought a 2016 Silverado with about 40,000 miles on it just a couple years ago. 84,000 miles on it now and just got a call from the dealer that the reason why it won't shift, revving, jumping and going into limp mode is because it needs a new transmission. For only $7,500 I can get a new transmission with a 3yr, 100,000 mile warranty on it.

You don't really believe rim size doesn't make a difference do you? I mean I'm certainly no tire expert myself, but looking at comparison tool over at tiresize.com using the exact same size changing ONLY the rim diameter size (the last two digits of the tire size) and it shows rim sizes DOES in fact make a difference. A 2" difference... just in wheel size.

Just as the title says I'm curious what are the biggest tires, if any, I can fit on a stock 2016 Silverado with no lift and 20" rims? I don't want any rubbing or have to do any trimming. My current tires are P275/55R20's

Thanks to the recommendations here I went with a Murray A/C condenser. It has a lifetime warranty and certainly looks to be an upgrade over the stock condenser.

So after messing about with resetting the HVAC on my truck (https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/251010-where-is-the-hvacecas-fuse-in-a-2016-silverado/) I've started looking around and have found a leak in the A/C condenser. In fact based on the green substance I found, I'm guessing someone else also found the leak before I bought it a few years back as you can see in the image below it's got a green tint. All that said, I'm finding a number of complaints from the 2015 Silverado condensers leaking so I'm only assuming my 2016 has the same problematic condenser. I'd prefer not having to do this job again, so what's a great aftermarket condenser to replace this stock unit?

Thanks. I found this same fuse shortly after I created this post. In fact I've removed both Fuse 22 & 26 on the driver side fuse box for about 1-2 minutes. Re-installed both fuses and started the truck. After about 2 minutes I turned the temp up, and hot air blew out. Turned it down to 60 and the coldest air I can get to blow out is 72 degrees per my temp gun. Looks like I gotta take this into the dealer.

The wife turned down her side of the air conditioning the other day and since then the AC now only blows lukewarm air. Messing around with this I've found the compressor is still dripping water so I don't believe it's a coolant issue, but I've read that re-setting/re-calibrating the hvac can fix this. In older (2014 and older) there is a HVAC/ECAS fuse to pull for about 1 minute - problem is there is no hvac/ecas fuse in the engine compartment that I can find. any idea what fuse to pull?

I bought a Rough Country 30" curved led light bar for my 2016 silverado and everything is fine, except the switch cable is very short and just makes it into the cab under the dash on the drivers side. However I'd like to have the switch (possibly maybe a different switch all together). In order to put any switch for that matter (rough country factory or other) I need more cable. Would this 18ga monoprice speaker wire work okay for this use? Also what good quality switch would you recommend for this use as well?

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the bigger 6" lifts when I said adding stress but more of the leveling kits. In nearly every case I've read leveling kits just push things causing sharper angles, stress and so on - or at the very least makes the truck drive a bit stiffer.

I won't speak for @jimmyboy8301, but for me I just want something with a little higher stance than my stock truck has now. I'd probably be happy with a leveling kit, but would much rather got a tab bit higher with a 4" and get a nice suspension lift knowing that the drivetrain and suspension is as it should be without causing a lot of stress.

Yes, I would like to get a 4 - 4.5" lift. Nothing crazy just a bit taller stance. Thanks for your suggestions. I've just looked at all three brands and based on their company websites pricing Zone seems to be the best price at around $1200.
