  1. Thanks! Current truck is Red Quartz and while the color is super deep and clear when clean it’s almost as bad as the black for showing dirt! I’m really interested in the Brownstone Metallic but I don’t want to wait past YE 19 to buy (gotta beat the tax man)! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I swore I’d never buy another black rig but damn that one is hot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ok, help me clarify if you can. I’m wanting to order a 2020 AT4 so my only color options are anything with a 3,4, or 5, correct? Also, Summit White has no number but its a primary color so that should also be an AT4 option, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I would push to have the steering rack replaced. The tech told me they had done a couple already. I have a few pops coming from the new rack but nothing like the original one. It was popping every day, now it's sporadic. I've got approx 3,000 miles on the replacement part and it seems ok, will continue to monitor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Dropped the truck off for oil change, tire rotation, and to check the popping noise again. We're at 80 days, 6,600 miles now. Just got a call from the dealership service department saying my issue was within the steering rack itself and they were replacing it. Hope this resolves it, will update when I get it back. 6. I'm having the exact same issue, 2017 Sierra I've had for 3 weeks, 2,000 miles. Dropping it off next Friday for this and an 8 speed update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Did you de-badge the tailgate too? I'm interested in the silverado badges, but would like 3 sets.

Welcome James, nice ride! Where in VA are you?
  9. How-To: Painting Front Emblem GMT900.

No issues here, and not touchy at all. This site is full of big boys and girls who typically speak their mind and are A'Ok with differing opinions. I think the line about the avatar was likening it, in kind, to customizing a vehicle. You got your style, I've got mine.
  10. How-To: Painting Front Emblem GMT900.

Agree 100%!! Customizing my rig is something I'm interested in, and I want mine to be as unique as possible. IMHO the gold Bowie looks awful against most colors. Color matching or having a different contrasting color is the way to go. Oh yeah, and F*#£ stock!! Especially when you pay $30K for something, make it your own!
  11. Just another newbie

Welcome, and pics or it didn't happen!
  12. Chevy is just trying to build a Laramie Longhorn....interior shades are identical. What a shame, follow the leader instead of innovator. IMHO This may be the ugliest truck GM has built, glad I got in on the current body style!
  13. Monster Size Blower

Curious, what do you do for work?
  14. L31 ticking on idle and acceleration

If its top end, pull the pushrods and find/replace the collapsed lifter
  15. EcoBoost Fail

From what I've heard from dealer buddies, these turbos are collecting water in between cycles. As far as R&D, I remember some BS info-mercials starring Mike Rowe where an eco-boost truck was pulling a loaded car trailer around Daytona. I think they also had a test engine run for 100K in a lab then stick it in a truck destined for a logging job site in Oregon. They may have wasted R&D $$'s on marketing.....? FWIW, I know 7 folks who have bought Fords this month, all were steered clear of the Eco Boost by the dealer! That tells you it's junk.
