  1. Yup, it will ding with just the lightest touch. Frustrating. Anyone who uses their truck like a truck is going to ding it up. Oh well, it's a truck. And trucks get dings. The sheet metal is very thin on these trucks... anything to save a few pounds. Thank you EPA.
  2. The manual seat in my 2010 WT was more comfortable than the power seat in my 2015 LT. I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable... just not as good. I don't know why they always monkey around with seats. I wonder if they are trying to see how cheap they can make them and still get away with it. I guess it is pretty hard to make a one size fits all seat though. I also noticed that they did away with the fore/aft adjustment on the headrest on the 2016's. This is a very nice feature that I found totally by accident one day. I bet most owners don't even know the headrest moves that way. It is on a ratcheting mechanism that you pull forward to release. It's nice to be able to move the headrest so it doesn't rest on the back of your head.

  4. I don't know about the 8 speed, but I wasn't happy with the way my 6 speed shifted when it had the same mileage, so I removed the negative battery cable for about 30 min. This reset the transmission computer and it settled down after that. It did take about 2000 miles to completely smooth out and now (at 6000 miles) is just as smooth as the 6 speed in my old 2010.
  5. Sounds like like my truck when it was new. Drivability will improve as you get some miles on it. The transmission is in school, learning how to shift and the engine is settling in. Now that I have 2500 miles, I don't have any issues or complaints. She's very zippy and smooth shifting. I did a "cold boot" (pulled the negative battery cable off for 30 minutes) at ~100 miles and then again last week at ~2400 miles and that seemed to help a lot. The last "boot" was just after I filled up with a tank of premium fuel. Premium seemed to make a pretty big difference and now runs and shifts even better and the MPG has improved about 15%.
