  1. Planning on leveling my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE with the 3” front 2” rear MOTOFAB leveling kit. Currently have stock wheels/tires on it which are 255/70R17. Thinking about jumping up to 18” wheels instead but wanted to know how much of a difference the 17” to 18” jump would make in appearance. I was able to find plenty of pictures with 18” wheels but are there any photos out there of leveled /lifted trucks with 17” rims?
  2. HELP! I just purchased a very nice 2018 K 1500 Sierra SLT (premium Plus trim). Problem is it had/ has flood damage. So far the only think that does not work is the power seats. Other than that the truck is clean and operational. I purchased the seat frame with all three motors from GMC and am ready to get to it. But... driver's seat is stuck low, full back and full reclined. No way to get to the two T50 hold down bolts in the back. I jumped 12VDC to the seat bottom tilt and height motors. The tilt motor works (it sits above the water line) but the height motor is dead. It sits lower (below water line) and is obviously corroded. I can not get to the fwd-aft motor or plug, but can see it shows signs if corrosion. Any clever thoughts on how to get the seat out? Thanks, Jim
  3. Noticed 3 empty ports and I have a 2018 Sierra slt with all the options except dvd screen headrest. What could they be for?
  4. Wanted to give a shout out to @pgamboa for a great experience, apologies if this is in the wrong place (I don’t post much). Was planning on parting out a console from GMpartsdirect for this swap, and then using Phil’s harness to tie everything together. Had my parts list in the shopping cart and reached out to Phil to order the harness. Turns out Phil now has the ability to have a complete, preassembled console from GM shipped directly to my door w/ his harness for about $300 less than what it would cost to do it all part by part. He offered different console colors, side trim, latch styles, and the option to upgrade to a wireless charging lid. Based on the reviews here, I sent him a PayPal and had everything I needed within a week. Now I have a fully operational console for 3/4 of what I would have paid to piece everything together separately. I would highly recommend Phil’s service to anyone looking to do this mod On an unrelated note, I have a beautiful bench seat sitting in my garage right now...
  5. Who else is ready for the GMC "I Love it" Holiday commercial to go away? I own a 2018 Sierra SLT CC. I originally found the commercial amusing and lmao when my wife mimicked the girl one day in a parking lot but after seeing it run over and over all month, I think it is permanently implanted in my subconsciousness!
  6. Curious what the average and best gas mileage you've gotten in your 2015-2018 silverado or sierrra 1500 crew cab is? Mine so far is pictured. It is a 2018 Sierra SLT Z71 4WD Crew with the the 5.2 liter V8 8-speed.
  7. I purchased a new 2018 GMC Sierra in February, and I'm in MN where it was freezing up until May, so I didn't get a chance to test the A/C. What I did notice was a hissing sound during normal operation and it bugged me so sometimes when I turned the A/C on and back off, it would sometimes go away. It was strange and I brought it up to the dealer in March or April and they dismissed it as normal... Well when it finally got warm and I wanted the A/C, sure enough it did not work! I took it in and they determined it was never charged, so they charged it and found no leaks. Well it just so happens the guy in the waiting room has a 2018 Sierra also and had the same issue, and says a handful of other people did at this dealership also. I got the 10 year warranty so if it ends up being damaged because there was no freon/lube in it, they will have to replace it within the 10 years at the very least, and it's on file as a repair in my history. So, did anyone else experience this like I (and at least a few others) did?
  8. I have a question I just bought a 2018 Sierra 5.3 I got it with 260 Miles on it, never owned a new vehicle before so it seemed okay (they sold it to me as “New”)with me after taking it home I noticed my driver door wasn’t closing as smooth as it should for a brand new pickup, I saw a video where a guy was sold a “new” truck and it turned out to be a “dealer trade” and also he found out the truck had been wrecked before after finding pieces of glass in the truck , any way I became paranoid after watching this video and thought maybe mine has had a previous accident and the door not closing as smooth as I expect for a brand new pickup is a sign, figured mine had 280 miles on it, the door doesn’t close smooth, there wasn’t a window sticker when I bought the truck and maybe I’m just crazy but I feel like it doesn’t shift so smooth out of the first few gears (it’s an automatic), so naturally became more and more paranoid, so I got under the passenger side where door with the minor problem is and tried my best to find evidence of a previous wreck I saw a cable that was taped with electrical tape which looked fairly sloppy it split with another cable near the transfer case and it led to a connection adapter that was mounted on the chases of the truck and it ended right there at the adapter there was nothing connected to it so I was wondering is that normal? Like could it be there for some added accessories or am I missing something I don’t want to take it to the dealer in fear that they are well aware of an issue and won’t want to help, I already took it because the door not closing as smooth as the rest and they told me it’s a brand new pick up let seals break in and it shouldn’t be an issue, so please help . I’ll add pics to my profile for y’all to see because they’re to big to attach
  9. Welcome to the all new 2018+ T1XX Platform Discussion Forum. Current thinking places an all new Silverado and Sierra to be produced in 2018 on an all new platform, code-named T1XX. How will these new pickups be different than their K2XX predecessors? What new technology will General Motors use? Will aluminum and composites play a role in the all new Silverado's construction? It's time to start discussing the future. Let's go!
