So I've been chasing this around for a long time now. It's been going on for 6 years, but has recently gotten much worse. I'll be driving, and my gauges all drop and every warning chime goes off. Blinkers and lights still work on the outside, but nothing on the inside. The cluster back light is still on, but gauges not working. At first it would only happen in the extreme heat or cold, and only here and there(like every few months), which made me think there's Expansion and contraction, breaking a connection somewhere. Lately it has been happening almost every time I drive, and in any temperature. Most Recently even my head unit will shut off. If it is not reset by the time I get out of my truck the head unit will stay on and drain my battery. With all of the research, I see similar issues, but nothing the exact same. There seems to be a lot of ground issues With these trucks, and I've looked at everything I can find with no luck. My gut says it's a connection issue of some sort, whether ground or not. Any info greatly appreciated. I tried uploading a video of the issue, but it says the file it too large, even after cutting it down to a few seconds

Cluster will work (1/10 times from start up) for about 15 minutes until all gauges drop and other indicator lights come on. Truck was working fine with no issues until a few weeks after my local dealer replaced the fuse junction box. (Check engine light was not showing up when I turned the key so would not pass inspection). Recently had a local shop try and fix it with a used ebay cluster I bought but that cluster didn't work either. After I picked up my truck, the cluster worked fine for 2 weeks no issues then back to acting up like before. Is there something that is shorting or coming loose that I should check? Today leaving work, cluster was working until I hit my high beams and without skipping a beat, gauges dropped. PHOTOS: truck is being driven. Thank you in advance.

Have a 2017 Silverado 2500 Duramax LTZ. Last week the DIC in the instrument cluster didn't go blank (or black), it looked like an LCD that malfunctioned. I looked and it seems there is only one connector for the whole cluster and I don't think reseating it will fix it, but have not yet tried...Also, it will come back every once in a while and work for a bit, then back to the screen below. Anyone have any DIY thoughts on what to do or do I need a new cluster or to repair this one? Also, the truck is most likely out of warranty, via mileage.

The plastic cover over the instrument cluster on my 2016 Silverado High Country cracked in 3 places. I've tried to find a replacement cover online but with no luck. It appears that the only way to replace the cover is to replace the entire instrument cluster, which seems ridiculous. Anyone come across this before? If so, how did you find a find a new plastic cover for the instrument cluster?

Denali Cluster Retrofit - A Review. As I'm sure many other readers of this forum have done, I found myself going through some of the posts and checking out some cool things people here have done to their trucks. I happened to stumble on the Denali Cluster retrofit and from the moment I saw it, I had not stopped thinking about doing it. Being someone who opted for a non Denali truck but still paid a pretty penny, there was always a small itch in the back of my mind at the lack of a couple features that these trucks have compared to other lower priced vehicles with less prowess - the instrument cluster being so plain is one of them. After eventually deciding to scratch that itch, I got in touch with Chris from White Auto Media (WAMS | http://www.whiteautoandmedia.com) about the Denali Cluster retrofit. Now, there are several posts with a wealth of information about this (main one attached below) and if you are interested in doing this modification, I highly recommend you start there and understand everything there is about selecting the right cluster for your vehicles model year. After exchanging a few emails with Chris, he noted that I was able to have him source the cluster for me and take care of the programming. At the time, I was unable to locate the correct fitment of cluster for my vehicle and the sellers on eBay just seemed to be too sketchy, some had cracked plastic lens covers, and others just didn't provide enough information for the amount of money they were asking for. As a result, I went ahead and submitted my details to Chris via his website and ordered the cluster. It did take two weeks plus a handful of days for sourcing the cluster, programming it, and shipping it to my doorstep. Not only did Chris make it incredibly easy to do this modification, his kindness in sharing information about the entire process to ensure that I had the right fitment, right cluster, right programming, made this experience all the better. Once I got my hands on it, I was able to get it installed in my vehicle in about 10 minutes given the right driver to take out some 7mm bolts and a little bit of prying with my fingers. In the end, I have a fully functioning, slick looking, Denali Cluster. Install video: Phil Gamboa did a fantastic job documenting the install and how easy it was. My only deviation from the video instructions was not taking off the bottom panel where the hood release latch is located and I was safely able to install the cluster without breaking or scratching any components in the process. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLq-VVcEL8I I attached a photo of my working dash to the post! I'm glad to have went this route and hopefully, I will find a way to give Chris my business again in the future! @GTPprix IMG_2532.HEIC

I just pulled into the driveway in my new sierra after about a week and on the instrument cluster where is shows my speed, there is 2 rows of a black bar about an inch in width. It looks like the pixels are dead or the display is dead in that area, however when messages come up it displays stuff there. it it just to the right of the 6k rpm reading in the main window. Anyone have an idea how to correct this?
