I dropped the truck of at the dealer this afternoon to have the Whipple installed. They claim it will take 11 hours, so I should have it back on Friday. I installed a Borla True Dual S Type cat-back exhaust with the optional resonators to bring the volume down a bit. It really sounds good! I ordered a new ECM from RockAuto for $200 and sent that to HP Tuners to be modified. The Whipple took less than a month to be delivered, so I was a caught off guard when I got the shipping notification and “had to” (read: wanted to) rush to get everything set up for the install. I want to maintain the good relationship with the dealer I bought the truck from, in hopes that, if there are any warranty issues with the truck that could be questionably related, they will work with me. That, and they have been good to me on the other mods I have had done. It also has the Trail Boss lift with an extra inch to level the front, new wheels with 35X11.50R20 Ridge Grapplers and it has Road Armor Stealth bumpers on the front and rear. I am excited for the the outcome!

Hello All, I got my truck back from the shop after having the supercharger put on and when I totally pin the throttle I hear a loud squealing noise from mid cabin. The supercharger whine is awesome but gets drowned out by the squeal under full throttle. I had a truck before make that noise when the exhaust I put on was not clamped down right. It made me think of the flapper valve in the GM Borla exhaust I have and was wondering if that could be it. Its in the same area I hear the noise? The tune took off the cylinder deactivation so I no longer need the flapper. Any suggestions on the flapper? I was going to tack weld it open but wasn't sure if that would stop the noise and also thought about cutting out that piece of pipe and welding in a new piece. Any suggestions? I know 1SLOW1500 has dealt with several modded trucks. What do you think?

So finally finished my truck. 2014 Sierra Single cab L83. GPI stage 2 cam kit, DOD delete, LS7 lifters.... 2.9L Whipple with a 4inch pulley Stock convertor Full exhaust Tune Got 517whp... Everything was running perfect untillll.... Started losing power, and quite a bit. Took it back to the garage, they tested pipes, vacuum, all seemed to be in order. Later found 3 spots where there were leaks im my exhaust where the headers connects to the y pipe and out the y pipe to the catback, they were clamped... So got flanges and bolted them on... All perfect... Still running 7.3psi high boost and its beginning to frustrate me. I also get rpm drops in 2nd gear at 4500 and above (this has been happening ever since i added the cams before having the supercharger) - doesn't happen everytime, but happens more often than not. Any suggestions? Any ideas? Oh i also have a gear oil cooler installed... Recently serviced everything, gear oil, diff oil, engine oil, spark plugs, changed the wiring to the MSD and added a heat shield to be safe.... Something is wrong and its quite annoying. Note: its hot AF where im at - Dubai... Easily hits 45degrees C during the day with insane humidity levels... Any feedback wld be helpful... Thanks Im going for a compression test tomorrow to see if that is fine.

Current truck, bought at 60k miles, currently have 95, whipple 2.9 installed at 76k , current issue p0324. No other codes, loss of power, garbage gas mileage, suspect either knock sensors or pcm as that's the only thing I can find on this topic. I have zero noise coming from the engine and still achieve 13 psi from the blower. Not losing coolant, or oil. Loss of power obviously coming from the car pulling timing as it's in a safe mode. Just need advice on whether or not it's going to be the pcm or the knock sensors themselves. Any advice would be appreciated. Btw the truck is strictly 93 octane.

Hello All. Just posting an update on my build so far. Today I had Kooks 1 7/8” headers with the green cats installed along with a smaller pulley for the Whipple and a complete retune on the dyno. It bumped me up to 562whp and 571 wtq. Next is LT4 injectors, fuel pressure regulator, mild cam and a smaller pulley. Pretty satisfied so far. Link to the sound Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any used complete whipple or magnuson supercharger tvs1900 or tvs2300 kits for sale? Looking for a complete used kit for my 16 5.3. Not going to pay 1k less then retail for a used kit.

I want to install a supercharger on my truck. I have a CAI, Flowmaster and a set of long tube Kooks with their cats ordered. I would like to hear from someone that has a whipple, procharger or other supercharger installed on a similar truck. I would like to know pros and cons and basically how well you like what you have.

Spoke to a rep from Whipple a little while back and asked whether adding their supercharger preserved the E-85 capability. He responded that the fuel system was maxed out with their 91 octane canned tune. I'm admittedly a little ignorant on how far we can go with E-85 but the benefits of E-85 in a boosted application seem huge. Not really sure if the bottle neck of the fuel system is the in-tank pump, the mechanical pump or the injector flow. Thoughts? thanks!

Ok so I took the black bear plunge. The autocal tune. I am sending my tune over right now and a new possible performance mod has come into the picture. A whipple supercharger. A would give him around $1200 and a warrior 350 that's sitting in my garage the only thing is I would have to get an intercooler which I'd buy. Questions: 1.) would I need bigger injectors? 2.) would I need a tune before I drive truck? (Currently getting 93 octane tune now) or need retune? 3.) what psi should I run? (Was thinking 8)...thoughts...? 4.) what would I look at for gas milage? Currently untuned I get around 10-11 city 5.) would it make me smile ear to ear when i put the pedal to the floor? Btw I'm very excited abt the tune right now. I'll have before and after 0-60 times Right now I am currently pleased with the Service with it's fairly easy instructions. And Jared is getting back to me rather quickly I'm sure they are very busy and I have had a few questions for them and they had no problem answering them and trying to help me out to the fullest extent.
