Ok, I want to come back to the GMC/Chevy family. For over 20 years, I owned a 98 GMC Suburban, putting over 230k miles on it myself and LOVED the truck. I too owned a 2003 Chevy 1500...put many miles on it too. I am looking at the GMC/Chevy 2500 series diesel trucks. I will stay within the 2016-2019 year range, with about $35k plus'ish budget. I might look at the 2021 trucks, only due to many deals/rebates etc. What suggestions or tips are out there for these trucks? What should I watch out for and/or look at getting? So, a few years ago, I bought a 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 EcoDiesel Lonestar -- well, I have been disappointed with Chrysler/Fiat (FCA). Short story, they lied about the ecodiesel, and after forced recall ECM update, they sucked all performance etc., from the truck. When I had my suburban, I never had so many recalls, been lied to, and never had poor performance. Thanks, for any suggestions that you will provide. Gary

Hello all, Within a couple of months I'm looking to buy a either. 2012/2013 silverado or a 2018 silverado but cannot decided which one would be best. They will both be 2wd 6speed auto (iv heard to many bad things about the 8speed from the newer models) 5.3 engine Will be used for light towing and some trail running (nothing to crazy which is why I figured the 4wd wouldn't be worth it in my case). I feel like the earlier version of the truck are more reliable but I also really enjoy the comfort features/tech of the newer truck. Any advice or thoughts on the 2018 model vs the 2012/2013. Thanks to everyone in advance ?

Hi Everybody, I want to buy my first truck and don't really know what exactly to get. I have multiple options. It would mainly be used as a family car with occasional transporting and towing. Im sick of having to ask somebody to pick up stuff for me because I cant fit it in my car and now with a baby we don't even have enough space for a stroller so that's why truck. Also hard winters here in Canada and 4x4 is a must. Now option 1 would be a GMC 1500 SLT Crew Cab with Off road package. Pretty much everything we need. Question here would be 5.3 vs 6.3. I am a speed junkie and probably be selling my muscle car for this so power is important for me. Option 2 would be the same but as a SLE with All Terrain package. Again has everything we need except leather. (would be easier to clean with kids and dogs) Would save a little money Option 3 would be to go big and get a GMC 2500HD Crew Cab and 8ft box. SLE and maybe add one of the packages. That thing would handle everything I could be throwing at it in the next couple of years. 8ft box would be great for when I pick up building materials and so on. I do love the look of a big truck especially when theyre lifted. Can anybody help me to make a decision? Thanks so much

Hello everyone I found a very low mileage 2012 crew cab Z71 4x4 Colorado with the 53L. I'm curious as to other's opinion of the truck. I owned a 2005 Canyon crew cab 4x4 5 cyl. I was not happy with the truck at all. I had acute a/c trouble from when it was new and it seemed to lack quality. I'm a little gun shy about this one. Can anyone tell me how they find their Colorado/Canyon V8? Thanks Jerry
