Don't think they make a slide in camper that weighs 759 lbs max. Then when you load it up as 00Silverado4x4 stated, plus you and passengers getting in it.......
The old salt and sand mix was not anywhere near as bad as the magnesium chloride being used in some states. Not only rusting out cars and tractor trailers but bridges too.
Anywher they use deicer you are screwed as far as rust. Washing it off is not always possible when the temp is 20 degrees. I will never buy anything new to run in the winter. Keep a old vehicle for salt season.
my problem after 2 smoke tests, replacing 2 valves turned out to be rust holes in the filler nck. the rubber hose was covering them so the smoke did not get out.
so it is a flawed piece of crap. It dosent leave you broken down on the side of the road. what about the crappy fuel pumps, the cold start knock, cheesy interior materials, steering shafts that need to be replaced repeatedly? To me lots of things more important than the hour meter. If it wasn't there nobody would be saying "how come they didn't put an hour meter in the truck?"
