    Just picked up a '17 2500HD, and truck alone is $511/year for mine here in Iowa, no personalized plates. This is what I got from the DMV when I inquired about the fee schedule: --JOsh

    I went through this exact same thing last month when I bought my truck - agree that it's a slimy sales tactic to get you in there. --JOsh

    I've got just under 1k miles on my '17, pulling my 6k lb camper @ ~50-55, I'm getting around 10 mpg, on the highway, unloaded I've managed around 16. Not as good as my '11 5.3, but that didn't pull as nice. --JOsh
