  1. So far I just changed the oil from 10W-40 to 5W-30. I switched from regular oil to Pennzoil 10W-40 high mileage due to consumption and noise issues. I've been using Lucas in it but my screen keeps plugging up so I get oil pressure faults, hence the lighter oil. I haven't been able to get past 30% oil life left without having to change my oil either. I haven't done more than let the truck sit and idle since the last oil change hoping the lighter oil would stop the ticking. I have no experience with synthetics, is it one of those things that wouldn't hurt to try?
  2. I guess I'll have to recheck with my source. Perhaps I misquoted the year....It wouldn't be the first time I oopsed! :))
  3. I know all about the fascia problems, I hate them. I just hit a coyote while heading up to MI for Christmas. I'm looking at $800 in parts (my estimate) It did in every lower fascia part on the left front of my Yukon from the wheelhouse to the splash shield for the engine, then there's the labor which I have not had estimated yet. I'm sure it will be over $2000. To top that off, GM Trucks are headed for a downsize next model change...I think it's 2019 models. Get ready for smaller trucks and engines. But a mopar is still a mopar....
  4. 100% concur! I have tried others and they are set aside. They also have great prices and like you said, their shells change easily. The only recommendation I have would be to opt for the metal clips. I have broken the plastic ones before due to the holster being out in the cold all day and put it on and a clip breaks. That happens with all brands though.
  5. My current favorite carry is my Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II. I love the trigger! Smooth right out of the box. Other times I may carry one of my Beretta's. Ya never know! But that aside, did you know that of those of us who have a permit to carry, only around 10% carry on a regular basis?
  6. I went out and brushed the snow off of it and fired it up. The ticking just won't go away even though I try to ignore it. 5.3 LS has issues, one is a use of foreign parts, like their rocker arms (Mitsubishi) which fail and tick tick tick. This I found out from my contact at Powertrain Headquarters (Pontiac, MI).
  7. Dodge makes a nice looking truck, but under the façade they are flimsy.
