Big question I had before the purchase of the shell is how the lip fit over the tailgate. On my last truck (A 2009 RAM 1500) the ARE shell had a gap between the lip and the window frame and it leaked so the first thing I had to do was seal the gap, not the case here, there's no gap from the factory. It's been through the car wash once and so far so good. -

This is the "lumina bar" option. What I had actually ordered was the 4-foot one going down the middle but the guy entered it wrong in the order, so what I got was the led light at the back. It provides plenty of light if nothing is blocking it. -

Added a bed rug to go with the carpeted Jason Shell. You can see the extra support for the rack in the little back backstops on the roof of the shell. -

58" Yakima bars -

In case you don't know about the Yakima Rack, this is the "control towers" style rack with 58" Yakima bars and the bars come off easily leaving just the base mounts. It comes with the mount covers for then bars are not in use. -
That's all I want. I don't want it to be on whenever the tailgate is down because when I haul my kayak, my tailgate is down for hours at a time. Whoever figures out what wire is the easiest to connect I'm eager to see you post it!
