  1. The stockers were the Eagle 275/55 R20 LS-2's but the black wheels were the Strut 295/45 R22's
  2. I couldn't agree more, we all use our trucks differently and some require lifted trucks whereas some of us kind of need a lowered truck. If you use it everyday on a job site or something like that then by all means lift it as high as you'd like..... but if you are loading things in the back and want easy access to them then lower it as much as you'd like (as much as possible to be useful for what you do). Like me, I use my truck as a daily driver and haul everything under the sun with it. Doesn't matter that it is lowered 5/7. Doesn't matter at all. It'll pull whatever I hook to it like it was meant to. And, if it makes the rear sag too much I can always put some air in the rear helper bags. No issues at all. People always criticize lowered trucks and raised trucks and say things like "That's ridiculous, you can't even use that truck like it was intended to be used now". I don't get it. Are people just mad because others are doing things to their trucks that you don't like? Well, guess what, it's not your truck. Why not just appreciate the effort that someone else put into their vehicle and do what you want to your own vehicle? Show some appreciation for people who do things differently (as opposed to everyone else out there who keeps doing the same things over and over and over again ) and then criticizing others who want to be original. Can't we all just get along? LOL
  3. And now...... back to the OEM wheels (with low profile tires of course). The big wheels rode like crap to me so I went back with the stockers and small enough rubber so I don't have any more clearance issues. I'll do something to the wheels soo enough to make them a little different but for now I'm just enjoying the plush ride.
  4. Maybe this will appeal to the masses a little more. My truck lowered just a little beside a friends truck that was raised up just a little. Pretty decent comparison if you ask me...
  5. Sorry guys/gals, this is the last picture I will post of my truck. Just thought that I'd snap one while I was out in the wild and see what everyone thought. The next one I post will be of this one sitting beside something just a little more normal...
  6. Thanks Tim. I used the McGaughys delux 4/6 kit ( kit # 34170 ) and it could not have gone smoother. I've used a couple of other kits on different trucks but this one really went in pretty easy. No miscellaneous parts, nothing left over, no surprises whatsoever. The 22's rub a little in the front but I'm not too worried about that right now. I have considered putting the OEM wheels back on it with some low profile tires so there won't be any rubbing at all but right now I'm just enjoying it being lowered. Drives about 95% exactly the way it did before...... a little more firm in the front but that is to be expected. Still plush all around but seems like it's more of a "sport" ride now.
  7. There are lots and lots and lots of REALLY good looking trucks in this thread. Seriously, I love them all. I humbly present my addition to this collection of fine trucks.......
  8. Okay wait, I followed the directions to the letter and built another playlist and saved it and everything looks good but I'm not sure about the "M3U" format........ not sure what that is or how to convert something to M3U. I just did this as a test to see if I could even build a playlist and it seemed to have worked but I didn't re-save it to my thumb drive because I wasn't sure of the M3U thing. Maybe I'll do it again and just try it out. I mean if it doesn't work it doesn't work. But if it does...... oh the joy!!!!!
  9. Well, I guess I've got some work to do on the computer then. I wonder how long it'd take me to transfer this stuff and make the necessary changes. I've only got about 8 or 10gb worth of music so I wonder how long that will take me.
  10. That's good news. Is the formatting the same in the truck as it is when you look at it on the computer? I'm just trying to make sure before I go duplicating the work I've already done. You know what I mean? Full albums are loaded in their correct format but when I look at it in the truck it alphabetizes it ( instead of keeping it in the original album format ). Kind of irritating... Thoughts?
  11. Holy Jesus this truck is beautiful!! I've purchased the McGaughys 5/7 drop kit but hasven't had a chance to get it put on yet and honestly, I can't wait. The truck looks incredible!! Only 1 question though...... do you have any rubbing issues up front with those stock wheels/tires? Just want to make sure I don't go too low and have to deal with tubbing the front. Thanks dude... Oh yeah, about debadging the truck...... anything I should know? Holes behind the emblems or is it just a simple peel 'em off and rock the "debadged" look from then on? Thanks again Holder. Steve
  12. Sorry guys and gals but I searched and searched but couldn't find answers to my questions so I had to start a new thread. Sorry. So here's the issue, I've got a 32g thumb drive with all of my music on it and I've gotten everything on the thumb drive broken down into subcategories (genres if you will). The only issue is that no matter what I try I can't get the truck to recognize the formatting on the thumb drive. Sure everything is there. Sure you can find it by browsing for it. Sure it plays. But, I'd like to be able to play the items on the thumb drive in the manner in which I formatted them to be played. Make sense? As of this writing I've gone thru the trucks prompts 3 times to try to see if I can get it to recognize/play items like I'd like them to be played but no luck. Heck I can't even figure out how to tag music to add into playlists ( no idea how to build a playlist using the trucks feautures ). Ridiculous huh? I've read and read and read and tinkered with the buttons until my eyes are crossed with no luck so I decided to join the forum and start asking questions. Sorry that this has to be my first post but I'm in dire need at this point. Thanks in advance for your patience and assistance.... Steve Ashe Lake City, Florida
