  1. My mistake, it happens on both 2WD and 4WD, I was just mentioning a little experiment that I did with the 4WD floor shifter in neutral. I also found out that if you put the truck in neutral and push it; jiggle the truck it in a way back and forth it suddenly clicks and bam, off you go.
  2. Hi y'all, I got myself in a little bit of a situation here, I got a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 4.8L with a 4x4 automatic transmission with a floor shifter. The situation is that when I turn the truck on and shift from park to drive I can feel the transmission gear up but the truck seems to be stuck…… even if I put the truck in neutral, climb down from the truck and push it, it like someone is stepping on the darn brakes. If I shift back to reverse I can feel the small knock of the gear entering but the same thing, it’s just stuck! When I put the floor shifter in neutral the truck moves freely with a push but it’s a darn hassle putting the shifter back in 2H. After a few minutes playing with the shifter from park to drive, from drive to reverse and all the rest of the gears, it clicks and off you go, as long as you don’t turn the truck off the transmission works normally, shifting smoothly back and forth. I hope someone knows what’s wrong with this thing; I just can’t be fooling around inside the truck waiting for it to give me a break and do its works. Have an awesome day and thanks!
