  1. Well today they gave me a rental...they can't get the parts. Funny how they would like to buy it. Seriously this sucks when you look around dealers have lots of low mileage ones. I mean low how does that suddenly happen. I actually told them the dealer advisory said to do both side of the new vehicles coming in before they were sold. Why not mine. I'm worried about the cam being compromised after multiple bend push roads, I haven't called GM yet I have a neighbor who is connected. I was told to tell them I wanted a new crate engine or a full extended warranty. I paid cash for this truck and didn't plan on replacing it for several years.
  2. Well I thought the 2021 Tahoe was going to be great and its not. 11k miles an the second time to the dealer for weeks on end for bend push rods etc. due to the dfm/afm system. I am considering dumping it because w/o a upgraded fix its pre=ordained to happen again. The excuse from the dealer is GM only pays for what's wrong when in actuality both sides should have been repaired. They say it's covered on the balance on your warranty, well I bought this new Covid kept me closer to home. A 3yr warranty will be coming up fast. This truck has all the bells and whistles that are now not available, no wonder why the Kelly Blue Book people are jumping at the chance to get it. I've seen there are numerous lawsuits around the country in fact GM is settling one at the moment. I've heard some models are coming with the system disabled? Is this true will 23's or 24's be available w/o this. A replacement fix is available but it's a big job to change out the cam and will be expensive. How do you know if its a problem, think pots and pans banging together, the info centers go crazy, check engine light go on . Should I stay or should I go....
  3. I've notice that on some roads the steering will suddenly ever so slightly turn on its ow. I don't know if it picks up the wear in the pavement. The dealer found nothing in the software. To me its feels like being on ice. Seems odd. The truck was built in Feb 2021 has 7800 miles on it. Perhaps the 20 in tires. Anyone notice that?.
  4. That was a great (supplier) discount on top of the trade in on my 2015 . I still get discount alerts on other things from various companies.
  5. I've just hit 2200 miles on mine, it was a long wait. Ordered at the dealer before Thanksgiving, and it showed up during a blizzard the end of Feb. I had them hold onto it until the end of the week. I've not had any real problem other than the Sirius radio not responding. I was online with a very patient overseas agent, he reset the system a couple of times. Likewise, I could hear his chickens in the background, it's improved. I understand in the last couple of year several of the Government satellites for GPS and such have gone down which were not replaced. We took it on a long run to Virginia, it performed effortlessly. I was getting 23.5 mpg. Still take time getting used to. My sister-in-law loved the second row power and heated bucket seats. The space between them was great for a small cooler for water and snacks. MY truck came in with several things not ordered but nothing that changed the price. I had a hefty GM discount added to the 31000 miles 2015 I traded. I miss the in dash vault and the overhead sunglass holder. Still finding things out.
  6. So what was the cause? My new 2015 did it twice in the first few miles, all kinds of codes. I brought it back they reset and it did it again. It was codes made the vehicle run funny. It turned out to be the coatings on the exhaust pipes and manifolds that created the problem as it burned off. It should have a stopped within 100 miles or so. I was going on a long trip so it got hot enough that it stopped and all the lights went to normal .
  7. Years ago I had a similar problem on a 2009 Tahoe, I heard water sloshing around in one of the rear doors. I investigated and found there was a piece of tape blocking the drain hole/slot. The plastic that they put on at the factory to protect the interior doors was taped on an a piece was blocking the hole. get down an look up to see if the drain is blocked - find a screwdriver or a tool that fits into the slot and push it up to clear the drain. I ordered a new Tahoe waiting for deliver sometime in jan.
  8. Its like we have 2 choices for leather, come on GM we get ****** color choices, why not include those from the other trim levels. You'd think they were losing money based on the leather trim. At my age this could be my last GM, make me feel like I deserve a final ride. So here I wait my 2015 only has 29k on it if someone is interested. I guess I'll wait until later perhaps next year now.
