  1. "The system uses the information obtained from the Outside Ambient Temperature sensor on the vehicle. When it reads 80°F (27°C) or higher, it will allow the operation of the ventilated seats during a remote start. When it reads 50°F (10°C) or lower, the system will allow operation of the heated seat during a remote start. If the sensor reads anything in between these temperatures, neither the heated nor ventilated seats will turn on regardless if they are enabled in the personalization menu." Thanks! Admittedly, I have never looked too hard, but that's the first time I've seen numbers around when they cool or heat. Like you said, different model, but could be accurate.
  2. I have only had my vehicle since September, so here (in Edmonton, AB, Canada) I haven't really had a chance to test the auto cooled seats. I can say for sure that my heated seats come on with the remote start, although the lights for the heated seats do not. You can only tell from the temperature of the seat itself. Everything I've read says that when those settings are on, the truck cools the seats on "hot days" and warms them on "cold days", but I can't seem to find what temperature defines "warm" and "cold".
  3. He distinctly said "painted" and later that the chrome (I assume he's talking about the bumpers as well) would be taken care of soon enough. What incentive would he have to lie about it being paint?
