  1. I could have sworn the Second gen Colorado extended cab truck could have been ordered without rear jump seats, giving it a more flat load floor. Might have only been an option on the W/T, but I remember seeing it. It was a $150 credit I think when ordering. Anyone have one of these trucks? I am hoping the third gen offers it again, as it would make that space a lot more useful behind the front seats.
  2. Your first oil change and tire rotation is free. I like the dealer over the lube shops because of the service I get. I get someone who knows my vehicle, will use the correct oil, and filter. I find the cost beyond the free first service is not much more than the lube shops. Lube shops charge 55-60 for synthetic oil change, and a oil change with tire rotation at my dealership is 60 bucks.
  3. So I just purchased a 2020 2.7. It replaces a 19 LD Custom with a 5.3. I have owned the new LS based LV3 4.3 as well. Power wise, it feels like the 5.3, and it has better fuel mileage than the 4.3. Instead of looking to increase power, I have used what the truck gives me to make the most of the power there. If you want to go faster, to put more power to the ground. Start by putting it in AWD if equipped, shut the traction control off, and put it in Tow/haul mode, or sport mode if equipped. I ran a 15.6 sec 1/4 in a 4.3 powered 2014 silverado 2wd, and a 14.6 in a 5.3 awd configuration. I read the 2.7 can move the new silverado to a 15.1 sec 1/4. It is not Camaro performance, but it is still good.
  4. See if someone local has a truck with painted bumpers that would be willing to trade. I did that. I wanted chrome, and someone wanted my black bumpers, and grill.
  5. Split the difference, and go with a RZR 570. You will thank me.
  6. Not much happening here. Just slightly taller tires 265/70/18s, and a 2" leveling kit. The tires are 1" taller than the stock 265/65/18s. It feels more beefy now. I love it.
  7. Yes. Fairly comfy. It handles surprisingly well. I can say I spent over a year researching UTVs to get one that both functioned well on the trail, and around the home as a yard vehicle for under $10,000. The Ranger just stayed at the top of my list. I had an open cup of coffee in the cup holder. I drove over a few bumps that in anything else would have had me wearing it, but as far as I could see when I stopped, not drop was spilled.Over all, I could not be happier with the machine. It just does what I expected it to do, and does it easily. Here it is at work cleaning the mess left in the sheds the previous owner left for us. And here it is on the same trailer before I extended the gate back a foot.
  8. The trailer is a 5x8. I lengthened the back by the gate to accommodate the extra length of the Rangers Bed. The Ranger is a 570 Midsize with a 3500 lb winch. Yes we do, and it serves double duty around the house as well.
  9. My new Dalton DT Sport 5.56 with my CCP S&W SD9, and Savage Stevens 12 gauge
  10. I was pulling my 2016 Polaris Ranger with my old 14 Silverado, and am looking forward to yanking it around in my new to me 14 LTZ Z71.
  11. It is funny you did that. I traded that truck in for a double cab for more room Ian. LOL
  12. Looks normal to me even before the drop. It is supposed to be that way. Under normal driving condition, your using the first two leafs. Under payload, the first two leafs flatten out, and hit the third leaf to give more support for the added load. If all three were pulled together at the same time all the time, the ride would be stiffer, and potentially higher with no load. I only added a spring strap on each side to help control axle wrap. I have 2 degree shims, but I checked, and rechecked my driveshaft angle out of the transmission, and it is almost dead parallel with the truck sitting on the ground. I may not use the shims.
  13. I put leaf spring clamps about 6 inches ahead of the forward u-bolt, and clamped it down solid. I torqued the clamp bolts, and the u-bolts to 60 ft lbs. That seemed to not only fix the issue, it also made the truck feel more solid during takeoff, and braking.
  14. Spider truck, Spider truck. Does whatever a Spider truck does. LOL
  15. Vision Legend gunmetal grey 6-141. 17x8 with 0 offset. Got them off Ebay from custom wheel outlet
  16. Stopped by a local dealership to compare to where it started back in September.
  17. My 2014 2WT RCSB 2WD LV3 powered Silverado.
  18. I am getting the same clicking, clunking sound while backing up, and turning. It is definitely the lack of shims to the leaf spring pads to realign the readend with the rest of the drivetrain that is causing it. Here is a before and after of the Belltech 2/3 drop.
  19. Maybe a u-joint. You might need to shim the rear a couple degrees at the rear of the spring pad to align the rear back with the rest of the drivetrain. The shackles would have caused it to turn down as they pushed the springs up in the back. I am doing the entire kit including the front spindles. I am going to get it back together, and see how much shim I need to correct the angle.
  20. I just ordered the Belltech 984 2/3 drop for my truck. I decided on it because they have been around for a long time, the drop will not require any major cutting on a new truck like some I have seen. It should have a more sporty look without sacrificing stock ride quality, or running into driveline issues. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-984
  21. I might have the only regular cab on here. LOL
