  1. "Installed" my free gm-trucks.com decal today! Usually not a fan of stickers, but its small and i love this site so much, i dont mind promoting it! Thanks gm-trucks.com!
  2. Yea im looking at it on my phone and missed the 4x4 sticker on small screen lol. Mine is only 2wd, as itll never see anything but asphalt but i still love the look. Thats why i went with a nitto ATs as i think in my case, its a happy medium. But yea man, i dig that truck. Looks killer
  3. Love this setup! I prefer 22"s myself. Wish i could run a 35 on my 22" setup but i need more lift than just a level. I managed to cram 33.3" with my level tho. What lift are you running andis yours 4wd?
  4. The wiring that comes with these is maybe 18" long, so i used a roll of 18 guage speaker wire to extend.I didnt do any lights for the rear footwells, as i have the motorized seats which i didnt feel like dealing with, and also dont have any kids or rear passengers so i felt i didnt need them. Gabekalp did install rears, so maybe he can chime in on this portion. As far as running wires go, once you remove the door sills/kick panels (they just unsnap pulling upwards and toward the rear), running wires is extremely easy. I just fished my wiring below the carpet which comes up very easy with the door sills removed. Now as far as the rear switch goes, you wouldnt want to tie into the cargo light circuit as this doesnt work when the truck is moving, so i would probably just use a seperate toggle, powered by a switched 12+ source. Maybe like the wipers, or radio ignition lead.
  5. Installed a set of COB LEDs in my interior front footwell areas. Tied in to my dome light circuit so they come on with keyless remote and switch. Also fade out when turned off for a great effect. These lights are awesome. These are the same lights i used as puddle lights over my running boards (u can see those in pic 2) and cost less than $6 per pair shipped!
  6. Ummmm ive got 3,000 miles on mine with no "break-in oil change" done. I see no mention in my manual either... should i be concerned here?
  7. Heres a better daytime shot
  8. Well i deleted my air dam the other day (see post 5236), and while i think it look better removed, it just looked as tho something was missing... so i decided to trim it down and reinstall as a few others have done. Looks much better now imo. Finishes the lower bumper area out nicely.
  9. Yu.... i mean No. Of course not lol. But when my mother asked "how far is the store?" My instinctual answer was "she should be back by now" haha
  10. Yessir. Thats the way i have mine wired. Unlock via remote (or turn on dome lights manually by the interior switch) and the lights illuminate. Luckily since these lights are so bright, they light up the running board steps, as well as the ground
  11. For looks really. Makes the truck seem taller. I mean it has the advantage of more front end clearance. But i am told you do actually lose 1-2mpg on the hwy without it
  12. The lower black plastic valence just below the chrome front bumper, in first pic.
  13. Removed my front air dam. Kinda still undecided on if i like it yet... it soes show off more of my tire, which i do like Before- After-
  14. COB Led strips. Only $5 per pair. I even ordered another pair to do my interior footwells http://www.ebay.com/itm/291161780706?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  15. Haha! Yea my wife has driven mine once with me in the passenger seat an my anxiety was thru the roof! But yesterday, during Thanksgiving, i was on the phone with relatives, when my wife said "im taking the truck to the store" and i really wasnt paying attention as i was distracted by my conversation, only to hang up a few mins later and realize what had happened... all was ok, but that still didnt stop me from doing a thorough walk around inspection afterwards lol
  16. I have really been torn about taking my air dam off. But now that i see yours in silver without it, i kinda have the urge to pull it. If i get bored tmrw, i just may
  17. Yes. Using this grey wire, When u turn on the dome lights, the running board lights do indeed come on, even if driving. They also fade on and off just as the dome lights do, for a pretty cool effect when locking and unlocking via keyless remote
  18. well they come with 2 sided foam tape. I already had some 3m red stuff, which i trust a little more than the provided tape, so i removed it and applied mine. Other members here have used the tape that comes on them, with no issues, but i figured since i had a few rolls, that i would just swap it. Im sure they will be fine just the way they come. Heres a couple pics. One showing where i installed the light above the running board (basically went in between the 2 plastic knock-outs), and the other showing the back side of the COB light in the process of applying the 3m red stuff
  19. I too am a new truck owner but have always modded my vehicles, some more than others. My last ride was a 2010 accord coupe, and my goal with that one was to basically make it the coupe that Acura shouldve made, and it seems i am now stuck on continuing a similar theme. Like my accord, i couldnt afford a $60k high country (or an acura at the time of the accord), so i have taken the opportunity of using this 32$k LT Crew as a blank slate. So far, ive got way less than 30k $ in upgrades, and short of a few things (mainly a 6.2 v8), i have the truck that i feel is coming close to that level (and in some cases eclipsing it), all while being able to pick and choose exactly what i want in a vehicle along the way. So thats my approach to how ive been modding
  20. Blue would probably the only color other than white i would go with. I think that would look good in my projectors as well. My goal however with this truck is to make it the way I think chevrolet shouldve made it from the factory (level front end, 22" wheels, lighted footwells, under rail lighting, running board lights, etc) and i just dont know that blue would even be considered by chevy. Im pretty torn. Should i really step into the realm of full aftermarket look, or high-end oem look. Idk but for less than $6, i figured id try it out and see. Eventually im sure ill get bored and mix it up a bit lol
  21. Btw, if anyone else is looking to do this mod, and dont amp reaserch steps that have the convenience of the extra harness, heres where i tied into my dome light circuit.
  22. Wow! You really meant what you said! Lol
  23. I considered it, but idk, i think i wanna stick with the oem white led theme. I just cant decide on another color. Ive been wrestling with this on my projector headlights too. I kinda wanted to do an ambient led in there for when the headlights are off. My truck being silver, its such a neutral color... if i had a blue or red etc truck it would make my decision easier
  24. Yep here ya go... liked so much, i just ordered another set for the interior footwells. Less than $6 per pair toohttp://www.ebay.com/itm/291161780706?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
