  1. I would just drive it. I had a 2015 with it and sold it with a 129,000 on it bone stock. All I read was better turn it off or get a catch can or you will have problems. Nope not one. I sold it to a kid up the street he still driving it with no issues.
  2. Yes that exactly it. Thanks!
  3. I don't know,it defrost everything good above wipers. Like the vent needs to be lower or blow on wipers not 3 inches above then.
  4. Is it just me or is the defrost horrible on these news trucks? It works fine above the wipers but does hardly anything down by where wipers sit on windshield. My wipers are really hard to keep from freezing on windshield. Never had this problem with my 15. It actually blew hot air by wipers. Anyone else noticed this problem? I let truck run for 15 20 minutes and wipers still frozen.
  5. I have a 2024 silverado LT 4x4 crew cab with the 2.7 Turbomax. And other then the sound of it is absolutely love it. I was very sceptical of getting a 2.7 after last 2 trucks had 5.3's. Just hope it's reliable. But did tons of research on it before I bought it. 17,000 trouble free miles.
  6. I really do believe the GMC trucks that have the plastic around the fenders is the key to not rusting. I had a 2015 Sierra for over 9 years no undercoat or oil spay. No rust at all above rear tires above bed. I see 14 and 15 silverados with rust all over right there. I just bought a 2024 silverado I guess I'll see in time. And I live where they put salt down all winter on the road.
  7. That's why I'm a little nervous going to a 2.7 in my 2024. Had an 06 and a 2015 both with 5.3's. Both well over a 100,000 on both. Bone stock noting but oil changes. Although I think the newer 5.3's seem to have more problems then the older ones.
  8. I got a 2024 silverado crew 4x4 was super sceptical about having the 2.7. Coming from my last 2 trucks having 5.3's. My 2006 was great over 100,000 miles and my 2015 was great also. 129,000 on it when I sold it with 0 issues. Only time will tell how this holds up. I generally keep my trucks about 9 years or so. Don't really hear to many problems with them.
  9. Apparently no one on here as used or tried these modes on here...lol
  10. So coming from a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 z71 with 4 low. Now have a 2024 silverado LT 1500 4x4. No 4 low. Has any one used these modes? I have not used them yet. Just curious how good they actually work. Can't really find any one trying or testing them on YouTube.
  11. I feel like mine does same thing. If you go a little faster or slower it doesn't do it. Sometimes I feel like the rpm's are so low it shifts in to 8th gear and it lugging. Please keep us informed on what happens and what GM says or does.
  12. I know what he means,my 2024 LT 1500 has this issue. Glad to see it just not me. Just out of the blue you use the turn signal and wipers cycle. Sometimes once or 3 times. Seems if I turn on signal down towards steering column it don't do it.
  13. I forgot to put it's on the firewall I guess..
  14. There is a tech bulletin out for this. I have same truck makes same wind noise as you are describing. It has something to do with plastic collars or some bolts creating wind noise.
  15. I just bought a 2024 silverado crew 4x4 with the 2.7 and love it. My last 2 trucks both had 5.3's and I like this engine better. I was definitely that guy that said I'll never buy a truck without a V8. But it definitely made a believer out off me. 15,000 miles no issues. Go test drive one and see what you think.
  16. Mine do the exact same thing. 2024 silverado LT. I thought i was losing my mind. I have noticed that if I use my turn signals pushing it up or down closer to steering wheel seems to help. Sometimes I wonder if I flip it on and accidentally turn on wipers. But I don't think I do.
  17. They must have cheapined them up. My 2015 Sierra had a factory spray in liner it held up great for all 9 years I had it. My 2024 did not come with one. I kinda like not having one. Sprays out easy and sweeps out easy. Mine usually has mud in it from my dirtbikes.
  18. I assume truck must be running when using it? I have not used mine yet.
  19. My 24 has almost 15,000 on it now. Super happy with it. Coming from an 06 and a 2015 both wit 5.3's I actually like it better. Only complaint hate the sound of it inside truck. And people always doggin' on me for buying a truck with a 4 cylinder. Lol. Only time will tell if it will hold up as good as both of my 5.3's did. We'll over a 100,000 on both my 5.3's.
  20. Do you think it will really hurt anything driving on snowy roads with traction control off in 4 hi. Never hurt my 2015 doing it.
  21. That's one thing I really miss on my 2006 z71. None that stuff,no traction control no stability control etc. You put it in 4 hi and it was up to you how it went. Best truck I ever had so far in snow. Handling was awesome in it. I don't understand how turning it off could hurt anything. What if your offloading or in mud?
  22. On my 2015 I had I would use 4 hi and turn off traction control. I can't stand stepping on gas pedal and truck powering down. This will be 1st winter in my 24. Owners manual says not to turn off traction control or could hurt transmission. If driving around.
  23. So do most people just use 4 hi on snowy roads or the offroad mode? See both look like they would be fine.
  24. So I have had my my 2024 silverado crew 1500 LT about 3 months now. Really happy with it. My question is, coming from last 2 trucks being Z71's and having 4wheel low. What are people using in place of it, if needed? Manual says terrain mode mimics it but not to spin tires or to much strain can over heat transfer case. Has any one really used it like four wheel low? And how did it work?
