  1. I wanted to circle back with the thread to close the loop. I’m sure someone can benefit from this information. The fix was actually a new Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block. We took a gamble as I also had the 3rd brake light out which the fuse can’t be replaced as it’s part of the box. Have not had any issues since changing it and just passed 100 miles.
  2. Will look into this. Could this also be caused by a failing alternator?
  3. All - Having some issues with my 2014 Sierra All Terrain shutting off/stalling at low speed turns to the left. It intermittently will flash ABS and Stabilbrake errors. The ABS breaks seem to get involved at times as does reduced power steering. When this happens the AC also seems to stop briefly sometimes. Sometimes the truck stalls, other times it doesn’t. When it does stall it will either pick itself back up after a second and other times it needs to be put in park and the key will need to be cycled. Truck has been DOD deleted with new cam. Battery was recently replaced about 6months ago. In addition to these new issue I have also been without a 3rd brake light as well as most recently my passenger side aftermarket Morimoto XB headlights turn off randomly. If I cycle the headlights it will come back on but eventually turn back off. Not sure if these are all connected but I’m hoping it’s all connected to one issue. Attached are pictures of all the codes, of which there are plenty. Thoughts?
  4. Video (3 second mark for a split second) - I have heard this sound for a while now. It only occurs during downshifts and I’ve pin pointed that it’s around 43mph when I punch it. Doesn’t have to be completely floored but likely dropping from 5th to 3rd is my guess? Not sure if it’s a belt slipping or god forbid my torque converter. Already had to remanufacture the transmission 15k miles ago with new torque converter, shift kit, bypass valve, etc. Just recently had the entire engine rebuilt with a DOD delete, BTR Cam/springs, new Mahle pistons, k&n intake, injectors, rehoned/cleaned, muffler/flap delete and a Diablew tune. This sound occurred prior to all of this. Thanks in advance!
  5. That’s what we did already which is the 2nd and 3rd post pics but the pitting is my concern. Trying to do it right so it will continue to perform for a good 5-6 (100k+ miles) more years. Looking into getting it machined and then new piston rings to fit. Does anyone have experience with this?
  6. Looking into getting it machined now. Anyone have experience with this?
  7. All - I have a 2014 sierra with a 5.3L. I had a lifter fail in cylinder #7. We are in the process of doing a DOD delete and new cam, but upon opening cylinder #7 we are finding some damage. We believe this is a result of a coolant leak. Some of these pics are pre and some are post trying to clean it up. Going to try be removing pistons to clean it up the best we can and replace the piston rings. just wanted to get folks thoughts on best next steps and if you feel we will encounter any issues.
  8. I believe I have a lifter failure at 139k. Was considering doing a DOD delete and new cam. Being that it’s an extensive job, was looking to see if anyone had a recommendation on a shop that’s known for doing this type of work in the Tampa/Clearwater area. Thanks in advance!
