2014 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L crew cab. Engine hesitated when accelerating at low speeds. Feels like truck is skipping or buckling in a sense. Need to press gas down all the way for truck to go anywhere. Also notice I’ve been filling the tank more often and travel the same distance. Plus no engine light on. Changed plugs and wires early last year. Dealer checked catylatic converter and said it was good. pls help!!!

Update: changed out thermostat and cooling temp sensor and temp gauge reading normal and fans turn on and off. There is a noise coming from near thermostat housing while idling. It’s like a whistling or whining noise. Not sure if thermostat makes that type of noise. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Brought all the parts already. Do you think I should just change our thermostat when changing out sensor?

2014 Silverado 5.3L radiator fans turned on high while driving and temp gauge read cold. Got home shut truck off fans still on high. Disconnected neg. battery cable and hooked back up after a few minutes. Started truck fans weren’t on but gauge was cold still. Let truck run for 20 mins and gauge went up to 180 degrees. Drove truck around neighborhood and temp never rises. Got back home let truck idle for about 20 more mins and temp gauge moved to 210 degrees fans didn’t turn on. Fans never turn on while driving and temp stays at 180 degrees unless at stop light or drive thru then temp gauge goes to around 210 degrees. Could it be coolant temp sensor or thermostat stuck open?

Ac started to blow warm air. Took to shop had it recharged and still blowing warm. Tech said he thinks it’s the compressor and i should take it to the dealer. Any suggestions?
