Finally got around to snapping these pics. Its tough to really get a good angle at it, but there is zero rub. I have about a 1/2" of clearance. It seems like now that the GM wheel wells are a tad more boxy than earlier models, we also have a bit more room to hit bumps while turning/in reverse also. My driveway is pretty steep, and when backing out at an angle, I still dont rub at full lock. That being said, Im pretty confident in saying I found the absolute limit as far as tire size goes for just a 2" level and stock wheels.

Nope, zero zip ties or trimming, and no rubbing at all. even at full lock in reverse. I will take clearance pictures tomorrow and post them. Hopefully Ill get around to washing it too lol PS: Keep in mind, this is with a 2" level. I think I found the absolute limit of a 2" level setup.

These are 10 ply as well, but even at the size I have, they weigh around 65 lbs, which is significantly less than other brands at a similar size. I went from around 21-22 highway to 19 highway average, so honestly not a big hit at all in my opinion, especially coming from those tiny goodyears.

I go offroad fairly often at our family farm, and it sees mud, rocks, grass, ect. out there. They grip extremely well, ride smooth, and are quiet. Even going over fairly rough terrain while turning, I still have yet to rub. I am very impressed with these tires, especially at their price point.

The wheels are the stock 18s, 8.5 in width I believe. Everything is stock except the BDS 2" level.

With a 2" level, I fit my 305/65/18s with zero trimming and zero rubbing, even at full lock in reverse. They measure 33.7x12.1, and even .1" more, and it would rub. I think I found the absolute limit for size on these new trucks with just a 2".

Since you asked, I am running the new Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's. And to be honest, I dont know if they are superior. What I do know, is they are significantly cheaper (about -$400 total) and run very quiet, along with having a very similar design to the KO2s. You would be hard pressed to find a user that has seen over 30k on those tires, so I am hoping they run well. But for the price, I couldnt say no. Guys, I am not saying your tires are shit. In fact, I really like the tire. Like I said, I almost bought a set. But, I have a close friend that does the fleet maintenance for Virginia DOT trucks, and has repeatedly said that the KO2s they run on them are meticulously maintained, and still show significant wear at the 25-30k marks. So I was sharing that opinion. For future reference, now I know that if you arent on the BFG KO2 bandwagon, you better not post lol But to say they are the "highest rated" is just as much an opinion as me saying they are way overpriced in reference to their performance against other brands. If I were to pick the tire I thought to be superior, without regard for price, I would choose the Toyo AT2. It is almost impossible to find a bad review about them, and I have personally seen them go nearly 70k miles with life left.

I said "despite their tiny sizes" because their tires run a bit smaller than other brands. BFG KO2 285/65/18 measure 32.4x11.4 whereas other brands like Nitto, Falken, or Toyo run about 32.6-32.7x11.6. So there is your "logic and facts". Also, if you go to BFG site directly, and read the specific owner reviews of the KO2 tire, you will see many mixed opinions and reviews, along with many saying that by the 25k mark, the tires were seeing some serious wear. And yes, I am aware what size tires came stock on your truck....comparing the minivan-sized tires they put on these trucks from the dealer to aftermarket all terrains is apples to oranges. This is a forum, where opinions are shared and reviews aren't always biased for a specific brand. I will repeat myself, since you clearly misread the tone of my post. I don't care to argue, nor was I saying you had small tires (but you sure did get defensive lol). I was just sharing what I had heard about the tires, and what I have personally seen out of truly used sets of KO2s. I also wasnt saying they were bad tires at all, as I almost pulled the trigger on a set myself. But to get aggravated by me sharing my opinion after initially sharing your own is a bit ridiculous. Your opinion was that they were the highest rated (which you didnt back up with "fact or logic"), and multiple journalists, experts, websites, and forums disagree with you and have multiple different tires as their "highest rated".

I am in no way trolling or trying to argue, but they arent the highest rated, and if they are, its because they are "the most popular". Look into reviews of users post 25k miles. BFG KO2's are great looking tires (despite their tiny sizes), but they dont wear well. Most guys ive talked to that run them on company trucks see them wear super quickly. And for their price point, they dont perform better than their much cheaper competitors. I am just giving my two sense.

305/65/18 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (33.6x12) 2" Level No trimming or rubbing

Finally bit the bullet last week on tires. I ended up going with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's, and I will say in person they look better than expected. For the price, its hard to argue against them. They are very quiet and smooth, and the truck rides exactly like it did with the stock tires. I went with the 305/65/18s because 285s look so tiny on these trucks. They measure 33.6x12, and somehow I dont rub at all with zero trimming and a 2" level. Here are before and after pics. I will eventually post better pictures, because these dont do it justice. It looks beefy in person.

How bad did it rub with just the 2" level?

I love how that looks. Its different for me to not be lifting this new truck and going with 35s and x12s, so staying leveled is making wheel and tire decisions SUPER difficult for me.
