Purchased Tuesday 12/22/20. Day 3 of ownership 12/24 - rained overnight and leaking back glass with service appointment scheduled for Monday. Day 5 of ownership 12/26 - at 361 miles - check engine light, text from onstar and email that vehicle must be serviced within 7 days - code P026C. I hope this is not a sign of things to come for sure.

When I test drove my 17 a few weeks ago I heard a ticking that sounded like it was coming from under the driver's side front door area. It was more noticeable next to a wall or another vehicle. The salesman claimed it was normal and the way the newer engines sounded. I wasn't satisfied until I had him start another new truck. It was the same. I drove down to the Sierra dealership and drove a few new ones and they all had the same noise. I notice it the most when I pull through my local credit union drive through or a similar area where the sound bounces.

I bought a new BAKFlip F1, installed it and it looked great ... until it rained, leaked in at each fold area but not in the fold crease. The aluminum frame around the fiberglass panels leaked and were apparently not sealed. I called BAKFlip who requested pictures and my receipt. Once they received that they called me and told me a new one was ordered and will be shipped to my house. It stinks to have a brand new product fail but it's nice to have good customer service.

Update on mine. The newest version (8.1) came in the mail Monday. I've driven about 100-150 miles with it plugged in and so far no issues. I will say that the 7.8 version didn't cause a light for the 1st 100 miles or so either. I'll be putting about 100 miles on it today so I should know if the 8.1 causes any glitches or not.

I purchased the Range AFM disable device last week from an online site. I drove it a day or two and it did great for a little while then check engine light and limp mode. I called and spoke to Katie at Range and she told me they just updated a new version for 2017 models. So I sent the other module back and ordered the newest software version, it should be here in a few days. I previously ran two Range devices on a 13 Silverado and a 14 Tahoe and both worked great.

Installed a BAKFlip F1 Saturday, seems to be a decent product so far.

I picked up my 2017 a week ago tomorrow. The tool box is gone and a BAKFlip F1 is ordered. Front windows tinted 20% to match the rear.

I pIcked up my 2017 LTZ Z71 4x4 today. The black bow tie package is included but not installed yet. And the step bars are coming off tomorrow.
