  1. I was able to location the dealer installed gps unit under the dash. It was easy to remove due to it only having a power and ground wire. The sound is gone!
  2. Thanks for the response, that is kind of what I was thinking also. They did install some GPS device but its suppose to be deactivated because I didn't pay for the service.
  3. I recently purchase a new 2024 Silverado 1500 RST with the All Star Premium package. It has the 3.0L Duramax engine for reference. In the past few days (roughly 4 days into owning the truck) it started making an alert/alarm noise. First it was a single note that has progressed up to a 8 note sound. You can hear it in the video below. Does anyone know what this could be? The dash is empty of alerts and no alarm lights are on. There is no rhyme or reason for when this alert happens either. Sometimes it happens right after remote starting, other times its 1-4 minutes into driving down the road. IT only happens once and will not happen again until I turn the truck off and restart it.
  4. I did the same today but on my 2015 Silverado, I did notice a noise when they turn on but that's all that I recall. i'll have to check it out tomorrow to see if mine are whining or not.
