Yes, it is infuriating. I've been to the dealer twice. The second time the senior tech drove my truck with me in the passenger and said they all did that, which is false. You're right it sounds like the noise is created right under the driver's feet. I'm no expert on vehicles but can it possibly be related to the transmission. The tick/rattle is directly correlated with acceleration and it only occurs in Drive. The craziest thing is that I can be driving in silence without the tick or rattle and I hit a bump in the road and it triggers it and then won't stop until I'm at a complete stop. It think if it was exhaust, injector, or pump related, it would be doing it nonstop. However, it also sounds like a pulsing or a "spraying" sound. Is there a right near the footwell that can be making that noise in the video? I'm literally exhausted from trying to find a fix for this thing.

I know thank you for that. He drove the truck with me in the passenger and he said that they all do that and that's normal. This was before I gave him PIP5395A. He did the work the same day and as soon as I hit the road it started again. I know it's not normal or maybe it's not normal to here it in the cabin because the day before taking mine in to the dealer I test drove 2 other trucks (a new 17 and a used 16 with same number of miles) and inside both in the cabin I couldn't here the noise. It's driving me crazy! haha

There's a service bulletin out for the link you copied. I had it done a few weeks ago and didn't fix anything.

Hi everyone I need anyone's help, please. I've taken my 16 Silverado 5.3 into the dealers twice. The sound is a tick similar to a sewing machine.The sound is coming through the firewall near the foot pedals. It makes the ticking while driving in the city and on the freeway. I can be cruising perfectly and hit a bump and the ticking is triggered. The ticking increases in speed with even a slight acceleration. I'm thinking it's coming beneath the engine or under the driver side. The first time in to the dealership they replaced the pressure pump but didn't do anything. Today they replaced a fuel line that seemed to make the ticking more often and louder. I drove around with the service tech and we both heard the same noise and he said that his exact truck that he was using was making the same noise and it was normal. However, I test drove two Silverado yesterday. A new 17 and 16 with 11k miles. The 17 was silent but the 16 had the same tick but very faint and nothing compared to the noise on mine. I plugged in a Range thinking it had to do with the AFM but didn't make a difference in the ticking. I'm a novice when it comes to trucks so I'm in desperate need of help finding a fix. I'm really considering getting rid of the truck. I really don't know what else do it. I really wish there was a fix that didn't involve an exhaust or having the radio super loud at all times.

Did anyone try putting a Range or tuner to turn off AFM? Did that solve anything?
