  1. Disregard I figured it out. After swapping that module apparently you have to hold down the interior running board power switch for about 10 seconds. I just tried it out of curiosity and after 10 seconds or so the running boards popped out nice as could be! I hope this thread helps someone who was having the same problems as me now everything works great again.
  2. Anyone know if you have to reprogram the running board control module if it has been replaced? Full story: My running boards were slow to operate and eventually would only come out part way and then return back to retracted. The switches at the ends of the boards were not functioning either. I managed to lube the bushings with penetrating oil and they would work again with the doors but the switches were both dead. In addition I would occasionally get "ghost boards" where the darned things would just start extending to the full open position with the truck turned off and sitting in my garage. I ultimately ended up pulling the fuse until I could get time to order the new parts. So I ordered a new controller and new board switches and replaced all that. I also disassembled all the bushings and cleaned the corrosion off so that they would swing smooth and free again. However, after getting everything back together the running boards are dead as can be... no movement or not even a sound like they are even thinking about extending. I disconnected the negative terminal and made sure that the fuse was seated again but none of that worked. I'm thinking GM has to reprogram that module but uncertain at this point so any help would be appreciated!
  3. Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue with the hourglass and no parking lines.
