  1. Ya not going too. When they make money they get back to you right away. But warranty work they take there time guess they don’t make as much. Just sitting in the dealership service department. Man to they rape people on service.
  2. So i have a 2017 GMC sierra 1500 All Terain. Rear window passenger side exploded one day while in the truck. Noticed burning plastic in the vehicle. Looks like these trucks have an issue with the rear defoger getting to hot and with cold temps window shaters. Anyway take it to GM they said yes we see the burned up plastic sliding window cover. So they approve a window replacement under a recall. Wait 2 weeks finally gets approved. I scedule an apointment with service. drop off the truck stayes there one day and over night. pick up the truck next day had to get to work seems ok. Pick up my grand kids theres no female seatbelt buckle in the seat area. I have a look and it seems they remove the rear seat when installing the window so when they put seat back in the buckle was not fead through the seat and was jammed up behind the seat. so i fish it out let the servicxe guy know they forgot to put it through. Yesterday i go to wash my truck and the slider is pissing water like crazy. on further looking i see rocker sill damaged and dented and top edge of window clear coat scrached away brobly from there cut out tool to remove window. so i take it back to service and they call the window installer. apperantly they dont have an in house window tech they call in a window installer to install there product. Owner come to service and looks at the damage plus window leak. says well its a defective window. OK so replace it . waht about the damages. so he says well look after it . so i call next day service guy says that the installer asked his guys and they said they dont remove the seat on the drivers side on ly the small halh on the passenger. There liing .I said well if only the passenger side was removed then why was the seat belt not tucke through the seat. only way its jammed behind the seat is if the seat was removed. plus you can seethe theads on the seat bolt the paint is missing. so know the service has to check cameras to see if the installers guys took the seat out from the drivers side. which 100% they did. Window guy says your sure it wasnt there. they give you the run around . sure the window instarres guys are going to say they did not remove the seat from drivers side . Why would they only remove the smaller side and not the lager side. total liers.
  3. update to this fix. So been reading mice like to get in from two rubber flaps on each side of the cowl. so the fix is make a 1/4 inch mesh cover to cover the fresh air duct. i have attached pics of the fix..with a template to cut out. use galvenized wire mesh
  4. My on Star service expired last year never renewed. but i noticed the light was green even on orther vihicles with on star but not activated. but mine on my 2017 is red does this mean its got a fault or just that it is not active?
  5. Great I’ll have a look at those. Better option if they come with the spring. What height did you use on the quick lifts. Or are they already at max hight. I also have the same Faulken wild peak tires so I may go with that setup . Thsnks
  6. how much did you raise the front shocks to get resonable level? iam looking to just raise the front and make it look level abit awell as replacing the rancho shock
  7. Thanks. Should the back be left stock height on the bilsteins just raise the fronts?
  8. Got a 2017 GMC sierra AT3 with the Rancho Shocks. iam do to replace these and was looking into the Bilsteins 5100 adjustable. i basically want to raise the front to level it off. what is a good setting for these shocks to level the truck off. will be changing out front and rears. amy input would be appeciated.
  9. recently my 2017 GMC sierra 5.3 began displaying a message . SERVICE 4 Wheel DRIVE. Anyone have this issue on there same year truck. What is the main cause of this issue. corroded wire sockets or Encoder motor. any one with same issues and what was do to fix this issue.
  10. Ok so I’ve been chasing this down for a few days. 2017 GMC SIERRA Some suggested remove the fender and reseall the wiring harness. No need your leak is from the plastic cover under the windshield cowl. There are 2 issues . # 1 if you remove the windshield cowl you will notice on the far right of the vehicle under the cowl there is a plastic cover painted same as vehicle. It’s sealed with crappy sealant . If you lift the edge with you fingernail you will notice it’s not sealing lifting up. Water trickles down that edge of the plastic plate and falls into the fresh air plastic duct in turn flowing down to the heater motor passed the cabin air filter. Under the dash of your truck there is a plastic pan like cover covering the heater motor wires . It also has a piece of thin white insulation for sound detening. If you just pull down on the plastic pan cover abit you will see the insulation it’s white and stained with water even abit reddish in the edges. That’s were the water pools and when you drive off the water will slosh forward or back either wetting to of carpet or fall behind the rubber firewall padding . This is were the underlay will soak up the water like a sponge. Anyway resell that plastic cover with RTV . And also replace the foam seal with a rubber one underneath the windshield shroud. Last 3 days of hard rain no leaks. I’ll try to load some Pics.
  11. Hey everyone. Noticed today passenger side carpet soaked with water. removed the side carpet panel and lifted the carpet . Insulation under carpet is soaked also the front insulation panel running up towards the dash. its not antifreeze. water is pretty clear. think i caught it before it got mouldy. anyone have an idea were this leak may be coming from or if anyone had this fixed at a dealer. what was the cause. any help appreciated.
  12. I can Confirm that the chirping-squeeking noise on start -up is definitey caused by the Adaptive flapper valve. had my truck on hoist today could physically see it rotating and chirping on acceleration and start up. Just turn it counter clock wise and clamp it open. No more squeal or chirp on start-up.

  14. Thanks CamGTP Ya I was thinking the same. Just wanted to see if anyone used the original as opposed to aftermarket. ive done quite a few over the years also really never had an issue with aftermarket. Sometimes there better than original OEM. Just look at mine not even 60,000 Klm on my truck and its gone. So far Ive had oil cooler lines done valve body in Transmission - power brake pump - rear top light for leaks - shark fin leak - fold in drivers mirror - New exhaust for the adaptive valve flapping around. rear sliding window track leak. plus a bunch of recalls. GM is really making crap these days. Funny thing is the dealer service guys tell you we don`t see these trucks in for much!!! YA OK (REALLY) seriously thinking to sell the truck. i know every make has some issues but it seems every time i have an issue with my truck there`s 100 rd of people maybe thousands all with the same issues.
  15. Well just developed the Rad Leak on my truck. this week it was in for the transmission they replaced the valve body for the 1-2 hard shift. needless to say truck still slamed into 2 gear right after leaving the dealership. Now i have the rad leak and not sure if they will cover it under the powertrain warrenty. (probably Not). SO dealer says it will be approx 1200 to repalce rad. i SAID YA I DONT think so. Should i get another GM Rad and thermostat with housing? Is there an updated rad and thermostat? or should i go with an aftermarket rad and stat. Buddy of mine has a goodyear center can get the rad Spector Brand for 240.00 plus 40 for thermostat.with housing. going to change it myself this weekend. anyone have a suggestions as to using original rad or should i use an afermarket. if i go with original will the max tow rad fit as another option for better cooling. Has anyone done this mod. Also if someone could post the original Rad product number and thermostat housing? thanks
  16. Can you put the max tow radiator in a truck without the max tow package? I Have the brake controller in my truck. Its an All Terrain. Would this be considerd a max tow rad for this truck? Thanks
  17. Installing a dash cam with the parked detection feature. So the drivers fuse panel does anyone know which fuse is constant hot? i know about the large 50 amp fuse for switched power but i also need a constant hot fuse tap for the parking feature. anyone know which fuse is safe for add a fuse to tap into for constant hot.
  18. LOL LOL LOL You sound like my dealership when i tell them all the issues that these trucks have are all documented on the internet all over the world. They say you cant believe everything you hear on the internet. LOL that`s what they teach the techs at the training seminars. Unbelievable
  19. 2017 and my warranty is up in august. Anybody try using a pry bar and gently prying it to make the weld pop. it would be a way to see if its weak.
  20. That’s how I feel . In an age we’re technology is involving daily we should not be having these issues. Especially as some have problems right off the get go. It’s one thing to have all this technology but it worthless if quality is not put into the product. Yes everything fails eventually but let be real at least it should last a few years As least. The order op’ state get it fixed and move on . Yeas that would be great but the problem is we take them in and they can’t or won’t fix them they say” it’s normal operation”
