  1. I have same configuration only a 2017. On items 1 and 2, I have same issue, nothing can be done on 1-2 shift. Rough idle as well, but previous truck did it too. Both are considered normal. Haven't expirenced the remote start concern. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. What is the bracket part number I have seen mentioned a couple times? My dad's condenser went out on '14 Silverado. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  3. Replacing the valve cover fixed my startup smoke and oil consumption issues. 2010 5.3l. Google : Bulletin 10-06-01-008M I relaced cover and plugs at 100k. Oil consumption less than a pint now down from 1+qts per 3000 mi. #7 plug was oil fouled. Now at 116k on the truck. Note: i have had afm off since 20k miles via diablosport. 4. What does this kit provide for you over what is in the truck already? Or is this kit only for those that don't have wireless charging in their truck? I have a 2017 Sierra, would this fix my pixel3 charging issue? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. I recently bought a 2017 Sierra that came from Canada. I tried to turn off the lights to just the running lights and they wouldn't switch this morning. Pulled out the owner's manual and says right in there that you can only turn them off in park. My question is: Anyone have a mod or work around to be able to switch to running lights when not in park? We do a fair amount of camping and I always like to switch on running lights when pulling in at night. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Well I bought it. 2017 STD box with 6.2l. Big step up coming from '10 Silverado CCSB LT Fits in the garage just fine. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  7. That is interesting. I test drove 2 2017s and a 2016 and non of them would charge it. I wonder if it some setting on my phone or something. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  8. Just had a relative with similar issue. After many new batteries and a couple yrs, they finally figured out it was the OnStar not turning off. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for all the feedback. I do prefer the look of the short vs. STD. Luckily my garage is slightly oversized so it will fit into it. Like others have pointed out, I too would only need the extra bed about 10% of the time. It is a pretty good deal and not very many 6.2l available used with under 30k miles that aren't a Denali it seems. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. Wondering if anyone that bought a crew cab with standard bed ended up regretting not getting a short bed. Found a good deal on a crew with standard bed and I am hung up on it. Want and have had only short beds. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

  12. I Have a '10silverado and the valve cover fixed about 90% of my oil consunptuon. Friend /tech at dealer said dont waste time with cleaner. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. You will have no problem. I have '10 silverado 1500 5.3l and pulls our loaded camper at 6200lbs pretty good. You have more power than i do. Only real issue i had was 20mph headwind in South Dakota, power wise. Setup wd hitch correctly and you will be fine. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. You will be fine. I also found inflating tires to near max psi was noticeable (better) in how it handled loaded with trailer. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  15. I have the same trailer and pull with '10 silverado. My only issue is power. Handeling and stopping is fine after i re did the wt hitch, dealer didnt do it right. I am mindful with what i put in the truck bed when loaded. Probably near the max payload with 2 adults and 3 small kids, minimum stuff in bed. We went from twin cities to black hills last summer, only real issue was headwinds and older 5.3l. Engine temp would spike on longer hills. I will be getting a different truck next yr, sticking with 1500. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
