  1. It seems that you might be in a little over your head. The best would be to use a relay for each light or set of lights. Use the grounding switch to ground and operate the relay. Supply the power to the relay from the accessory wiring. The relay will provide the power for the lights. Get that power directly from the battery with a suitable fuse. If you don’t understand how to use relays it would be best to go onto a forum that will give you the lessons or have someone knowledgeable to do it for you. It can be a little confusing at first.
  2. That’s nice to be able to get that done. OnStar is so expensive or I would stay enrolled too. I seldom use the inside lock, only the remote for the same reason, so I don’t lock the keys inside. But that’s tough if you’re going to fill your hands with stuff.
  3. For all you so-called experts here, if it has a front diff or front axle shafts, that does not mean it has AWD! That means it has 4 wheel drive, not necessarily AWD. It could be either. So having your wife look under the front for a diff, would not answer the question. Stop being a nasty know-it-all when you really do not know what you are talking about.
  4. Have you thought about getting one from a low mileage wreck? One that was rear ended or hit on the side, not a head on. You could also get the accessories, water pump etc. that have a lot less mileage than yours. It would be much more cost effective and much better than a rebuilt one.
  5. Four years ago, I made one up for my 2017 Sierra with seven positions. Since I only had 3 positions used on my original switch bank, I was able to add Aux1,2,3 &4. I bought a 7 bank switch set from a diesel that had some of the switch toggles and another 7 bank switch set for the others. I’m really pleased with the results even though I had to buy two sets. It looks totally factory. You could do the same for yours just adding Aux1 & Aux2, but you need the 7 switch board, switches and and housing. There are instructions for doing this on the GM forum somewhere. That’s where I got the incentive to make mine. Sorry, it looks like my photo is upside down, it’s -34 here right now so I’m not going out again to take another one.
  6. How could you not be happy with those wranglers that gave you that kind of mileage, good on all types of terrain and still reasonably quiet. You have to search hard for a better general purpose tire, I love them and have had good luck with them for many years now. You can get better looking, more aggressive, longer lasting, quieter, but there are always trade offs.
  7. I got one a few years ago that installs police equipment in vehicles. They take the console out to install radio equipment etc. Give them a try since the takeouts would be cluttering up their shop.
  8. I used the backup camera for my Garmin and mounted it above the M in the grille of my 17 GMC. You have to look really hard to see it. Instead of using a switch, I wired it so that it changes from GPS to front camera whenever I press on the brakes. Real handy when I am parking close to anything in front of me.
