  1. F150 electric

Times are changing very fast, you are right about that. I personally don’t agree with the whole electric vehicle though. I think it’s a big out of sight out of mind. One person may look at it as hey I’m not using gas for my car while I’m looking at it as you’re putting a higher demand on the power companies, higher load on the generators means higher fuel consumption of whatever they’re burning. It may not seem like much and to be honest charging the few electric cars there are nowadays may not be but when we are all driving electric major things are going to need to be changed with our power grid to hold up to the demand. And then let’s say somebody is in a rural area up north for exapmle and power goes out in a storm. It’s not nearly as easy to store electricity as it is to have a spare fuel barrel. IC engines will be around for quite some time yet, the US needs to push Diesel engines harder. The efficiency between diesel and gas just don’t compare. Just my 2 cents.
  2. Anybody else ever catch a wiff of your exhaust and think that it smells a little like burnt race gas or am I just crazy? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  3. Will tires fit?

That translates to a 32.1 inch tire and will easily fit. It's only 2/10th inch bigger than the stock 20 inch tires.
  4. Where's my dippers at??

For all you dippers out there what's your go to do and why? My favorite is Copenhagen original long cut but if I'm feelin some flavor I really like skoal wintergreen and outlaw lucky lipper (mountain dew). Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  5. My truck won’t stay on!!

Throttle body maybe if it kinda sputters as it's dying?? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  6. Where's my dippers at??

Whay tobacco free dip with nicotine did you find and enjoy as my wife hates the fact that I dip? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  7. Keep in mind those numbers are really babying it. I usually get 22 highway with 93 and and about 16 city. Doubling my tire mass didn't help me much [emoji23] Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  8. I too wanted to only do what youre thinking about but I bought the intune I3 and couldn't be happier! I love the firm shift trans tune and I went into the parameters and stiffened them up a little more. As for mpg running 34 inch tires 4x4 with a 2in level, I get my best fuel milage running 93 and if I take it real easy I'm able to get 25 highway mpg. Running 87 I get right around 23. 9. Hello all, Just curious I know that when Chevy still used gas caps yellow meant you were good to run E85 well since my 17 doesn't have a gas cap is there anything that tells me if I can run it? Or a rpo code in the glove box? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  10. Hello all, I'm curious if anybody has heard the newer motors (2014-2018) 5.3 run with a SSS muffler? I really love the sound of my SS as its nice and deep it a bit of a raspy note that sounds very good and isnt to loud in the cab. I'm just curious if the 5.3 ecotec would give it a similar sound?
  11. Anybody running a 2 inch level with 275/65/20's and not rubbing? And if you are rubbing where and how bad? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  12. Tire size?

  13. It finally happened

Somehow he and his two buddies walked away. I would have killed them though if we had the horses hooked up. Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  14. It finally happened

Runs and drives perfect now with 3,000 miles on it with a level ready to get put on her. Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  15. It finally happened

Well I've got you beat haha got my 17 on September 16th and the night of the 17th I got rear ended by somebody on their phone. They were going 40 and did 12 grand in damage. She's all fixed now though and you'd never even knew it happened. It had 46 miles on it. Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  16. Just wondering do you all think it would be easy to swap a L5p hood onto a 16 lml truck and use the hood scoop to not bring air into the air box but to just bring air in under the hood to aid in keeping Temps down? Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  17. Locking Diff- G80

Probably your best bet especially if you still have your warranty! Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  18. L5p to Lml hood swap

I know I'd obviously have to remove the air duct to achieve what I want it to do and I'm pretty sure most of us agree the the new hood looks better than the lml hood however I'm not willing to surrender a deleted lml until somebody can figure out how to delete a l5p. 19. Locking Diff- G80

Your rear end shouldn't be locking up in the first place as 5mph isn't fast enough to create the rpm difference in wheel speed needed to engage the g80. How ever with that said when I do things to make mine engage it takes a few tire rotations going straight before it unlocks. Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  20. L5p to Lml hood swap

Every little bit would help towing at max load cross country don't you think? Especially if it's unobstructed air that doesn't have to pass through trans coolers, oil coolers, and ohh not to mention that huge 210 degree radiator? Sent from my xperia xz premium using Tapatalk
  21. Pretty general question but what's everybody's thoughts on a 16 crew cab dmax dully towing close to 30,000 lbs when loaded. I know it isn't legal but dot doesn't really enforce where I'm from as far as trucks limits they'll just make sure you've got a cdl. Do you all think the truck is capable of safety towing that kind of weight or should I make the in wanted jump to a ford that's rated for the weight? Jake Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  22. Towing 29,000 lbs???

So to hopefully help clear it up a bit about the truck and trailer. The dually will be a daily driver towing a 38 foot toy hauler for me and a seven horse trailer for my wife with a 15 foot living quarter on it also and will be very well maintained. As for the weight the only one I'm worried about is the horse trailer, loaded it will be close to 30k without the truck. The truck will be mostly driven around the Midwest so really no hillsto worry about. I did look at a 18 wheeler but don't want to hassle with getting pestered about being commercial or not and for my farming the dually makes more sense to me at least for the simple fact that I can drive it everyday easily. I would obviously get air bags for the back end towing any of our three trailers. The truck will be hooked up probably 3 days a week. I just got get why GM rates their trucks so much lower than the competitors. Like do you guys really think that the gm offerings really are less capable? Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  23. Towing 29,000 lbs???

The new 17 and up f350 is rated for 30k and the f450 like 34k but I don't necessarily want to get on the powerstroke wagon unless I have to. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  24. Hello all, This is my first post on here and I saw some pictures of the ltz/high country trucks and their tail lights. My truck is a 17 custom so it's got the full led front end and looks sharp! However the tail lights are halogen and while I know it's a lower trim package to me it kind of defeats the looks of the front and I would love to know if the LED tail lights fit or trucks with the halogen lights? Jake
  25. Tail light swap

Thanks! Not really looking to do headlights as well since they are HID and have LED strip on the bottom, just wanted something in the rear that looks as good as the front. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
