  1. $2.11 reg. Mission Tx today
  2. The truck bed was always empty when I took the measurements. Regarding the noise, yes, my truck was sprayed with Krown three days after I bought it. I can’t imagine a light film of oil being the problem, but hey, who knows? The truck will go back to the dealer when I return to Canada in April, as I think it would be complicated to have the job done here in the USA under warranty, so I’ll let them deal with it.
  3. I had the same ...problem.... with my 2025 2500HD—about 1 1/2 inches difference between sides, as shown in the pictures—back in May 2025. I measured the height in multiple spots wheel well, frame, bumpers name it and at different locations, driveway, street garage fuel station etc to make sure it was consistent, and it was. Now it’s January 26, and 6,000 miles later, everything is fine. I’m pretty sure my last trip from Montreal ( fifty first State ) to McAllen Texas, fully loaded with my 8,000 lb travel trailer and 1,150 lbs on the tongue, played a big role. Maybe the truck just needs to be loaded to get everything back in place? Now I just need to address the rear suspension noise—it’s creaking a lot even when just climbing into the cab
  4. 48 this morning wind 25 gust 45 .... yesterday was 90 .... ahhh good old South Texas we lost close to 10 degrees at 5 am this morning in no more then 30mn
  5. any good alternatives to these OEM plug, they are driving me nuts
  6. If your truck is covered by the 3-year, 60k warranty, check your manual—roadside assistance should cover the full cost of the tow truck as long as it’s towed to the nearest dealership. It’s different if you’re claiming under the GMPP, as they only cover up to $100.Fight my friend fight
  7. Mowed the grass and pick up the leafs, eavestrough cleaned and travel trailer winterized yesterday cant wait for our annual trip to Mc Allen Texas for 4 to 5 months . Winter is at our door here in Lachute Quebec Canada, freezing temps at night, snow in the forecast for the weekend ... A good test for the new truck
  8. By the way, most of the information available online isn’t from boomers, so we all need to work together. It’s too simple to reduce it to just one thing or one group
  9. The new truck is a complete game-changer compared to the old one, much better in every aspect. The only slight disappointment is the engine power. Yes, the truck is heavier and all that, but the little 3.5, in terms of power alone, can hold its own against the 6.6. Not talking about long-term longevity or reliability, just pure power for power. I love my new truck and I have no regrets
  10. Get off the internet, sell your television and radio, and live happily. The world will keep spinning, and while you'll be influenced by everything around you, living disconnected might feel like being in a coma—some enjoy it, some don’t. A little bit of everything is better than a whole lot of nothing. I’ll drive my truck, knowing full well that many things can go wrong—that’s just life and I knew all that even in 1978 way before the internet . The Pampers generation loves to lecture the boomers, but it wasn’t really the boomers who messed up the planet with the internet. Most of them can live without their phones—can you? A Greek philosopher once said, "Don’t wish for things to happen as you want, but wish for things to happen as they do, and you’ll be happy." As for the 10L1000, I’ve been warned it’s so-so, but honestly, I’m happy with it.

  12. Low mileage at 125,000 km, but 90% of that was pulling my travel trailer weighing close to 8,000 lbs. I didn’t baby it either. That truck was maxed out in every corners but never above the spec sheet. Oil changes were once a year or whenever the OLM indicator signaled. It rattled only once, three years ago—maybe just a coincidence? At the time, I had installed a FRAM Ultra, the first time I didn’t use an OEM filter. I immediately replaced the filter, and it never rattled again. Coincidence?
  13. A grain of salt is always the best way too go with the internet. I had a f150 2014 and despite what one can read on the internet, my phasers and chain never failed, nor the turbos
  14. Anyone know how many 10L1000 are on the road ? Let say since 2022 Are those numbers available somewhere ?
  15. Gm have no choice to use it, its what they have , but they are going to do it under their name ...
  16. Well, maybe, but the letter discussed seems legit to me. Anyway, I trust GM less than YouTubers on many thing
  17. maybe you saw it sorry , if not take a few minutes to watch it
  18. Well, I guess I was a bit too early to gather data for high-mileage 10L1000, lol.
  19. Oh, I hear you. However, my tech advisor at the dealership told me it's a real problem. They have four trucks on their lot waiting for VB. They're selling a lot, so I don't know what percentage of what they sell is problematic, nor do I know the year involved. Anyway, I'm working on this Buddha quote: "If the problem can be solved, why worry? If the problem cannot be solved, worrying will do you no good." thanks for your feedback Buck
  20. I'm curious to see if this transmission is as bad as the internet claims. In April, I traded my F150 for a new Sierra 2500 HD 6.6 gas after losing confidence in my old truck. I tow a 7550lbs travel trailer 5,000 to 6,000 miles a year for an annual winter trip to Texas from Quebec, Canada, so I need a reliable truck. Since buying the Sierra, the only issue I've had was with the infotainment system, which has been fine since the dealership update. My main concern is the transmission and the lack of available parts. Spending $85K for peace of mind... yeah right , I now feel similar to how I did with my old truck before the long journey to Texas. With 3,000 miles on the truck so far, everything has been good, but I can’t shake the worry of being stranded in Mississippi with no truck for months, stuck with just a travel trailer and nothing to pull it. Has anyone had any luck with their 10L1000? BTW nothing against Mississippi
  21. In my opinion, go with AC Delco if you want, not because they’re the best, but because they offer good value for the money and are easy to find. These days, it’s harder than ever to say if an engine will outlast the vehicle, but I’m pretty sure very few people drive their cars to the grave, so 20/30 micron differences aren’t all that important in my view. Now, if that keeps you up at night, that’s a different story I honestly think people pay way too much attention to what they feed their cars compared to how they treat themselves
  22. I was looking for your opinion, and others opinion, i am always willing to learn through different expertise, opinion , or else , as long as we keep doing it respectfully , and thats what i found here, thanks to all
  23. I was focusing more on bearing wear caused by particles than bores, and you made a good point. However, don't you think bores are more affected by fuel dilution, poor fuel, and pre-ignition than particles? Personally, I believe air filtering is more important than oil filtering to some extent. I know both are necessary, but if I had to choose only one, I would go with air. Also, is there a way to know what to expect inside a filter after, say, 5000 miles on average? Any study ? I feel like we might be overthinking all of this. It's fun, but for the average Joe, there are probably many other things to focus on before worrying about particles, lol.
  24. I have no idea why, but because of my post, I'm impatiently waiting for a sledgehammer to hit me on the head, lol.
