That was first idea except 2 issues 1 that's where catch can is located and 2 the big issue the tube that comes around completely covers the oil fill it goes right over top I ordered a universal fit 6 inch that will fit directly to the supercharger it's perfect there's another user on here did same thing.
Sorry guys for delay on posts I was on vacation. The user who asked about the tuning of ECM only and not the TCM yes you are correct. It is my understanding that when using HP Tuner which is what Procharger uses the TCM on 2017 and up have to be sent out to HP to be unlocked before it can be tuned, I may be wrong on that but that is my understanding. Regardless they are separate modules so if your not sending both put they can't tune it. I will see what the shop says I'm taking it to to be dyno tuned they use HP, wasn't going to but 110 mph limit isn't doing it for me so I'll have them fix that problem too. I finally got the Elite catch can installed I will post pics tomorrow, Elite never got back to me on my question which the answer would have been 1 word (really guy's $400 for a product and can't answer a question) but I figured it out after 2 days of googling (didn't help) and 1 phone call to a shop ([emoji106]). Other than that nothing new to say no videos yet I'll wait till after dyno day, only put about 30 miles on it since it was finished. I am ordering a new air filter though the 1 that came with it is big and annoying when trying to access the oil fill with the Elite Clean Side Separator installed. The guy tried to upload pictures for 2 days but the site kept saying file to big, a user finally told me to use tapatalk that worked. I'm getting old I'm not up on all the techy stuff anymore.
In cabin noise is very minimal it's a quiet whistle sometimes more at idle than its quiet like normal now when it's got more throttle it sounds like a leaf blower you can here that its like a whoosh noise. Seems to kick in around the 3000 3200 range, haven't gone over 4000 yet I'm still babying it making sure erything is ok, no leaks hoses tight, and the drive belt isn't touching anything. This weekend I'll get it out on roads that are more friendly for it see what it can do I'll post about and answer your other 2 questions better.
I purchased the high output system which is complete with Prochargers tune I had to remove and mail them my ECU they tune it and sent it back via FedEx next day which was nice. I assume it's a safe tune probably not a lot of timing in it and it's a little rich but I'll see how it goes if I feel like it needs more or needs a little help I have a great race shop 18 miles away that dyno tunes I will take it to them let them work their magic.
I'm sure from the filter into the supercharger it's getting hot air but I assume the intercooler helps cool it down some I'll check intake temps once I get some miles on it make sure no leaks and everything is tight still.
Here's the final pictures. Started up no issues idled funny for about 5 seconds been fine since. Thanks for following along. Took it for a little drive brought it home checked it out for leaks check all connections went back out pushed it to 4000ish just to feel it you can tell it's there I will keep an eye on it slowly work up to some wide open runs. Only thing I wish was the intercooler was black. Not sure what the standard gears sound like in person I've heard some on YouTube but helical gears are a must if these make it quieter I wouldn't want it louder. It's not annoying it's there you can hear it it's more of a whistle sound but any louder would be kinda much I think but that's my opinion only of course. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Well it's all done except the catch can waiting for Elite to respond to a question about vacuum line, 2 days I figured I would have heard by now so I temporarily hooked it up per Prochargers instructions. ECU will be back tomorrow so I can fire it up. I'll take a finished photo later still putting few things back together I will say the hardest parts for me at least were 1. Removing radiator shroud, 2. Hooking up the tubing, 3. That stupid air filter not sure why it can't be smaller, 4. Reinstalling the radiator shroud, 5. Getting the factory oil filter off I'm guessing the Hulk put it on, 6. Removing the last plug on passenger side and installing a new one. Hopefully tomorrow it starts up with no issues my only concern is the drive belt below the thermostat housing and hose it seems real close not touching but very close they should make a spacer for it to raise the housing a little be a good idea. Plugs are done oil is done and the supercharger is in and not coming back out this time. Main harness is nicely tucked underneath and not touching and the brake booster line is good to go also added loom to that just to be safe it does touch the sub bracket. Tires and fender liners off, not required nor in the instructions but I did it for 2 reasons 1 gives nice access to running the tubing to and from the intercooler it looks like however number 2 and most important direct access to the spark plugs I can sit on stool reach right in and change them. There's a vid on YouTube of a guy laying across the top of his truck killing himself doing it I'm thinking this is way easier plus thanks to snapon and their locking extensions 1 of them is 24 inches long shouls make this real easy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Well... Got the front end removes grill, shutters, and shroud. I'll say this the shroud removal not easy there's 8 bolts in the back behind another plastic shroud be prepared to spend some time on 2 of the bolts 3rd 1 down on driver side and 4th 1 down on the passenger side have ratcheting wrenches or at least a 10mm 1.
