  1. see this thread if you haven't - What I Posted yesterday: At least they "tried" something. I think it's just too early to tell. New platform, no "fixes" but at least we're bringing it to their attention. Also, Mine makes noise when pulling away in the morning, humming noise under the vehicle during light acceleration first pull away, "That's the Transmission building up pressure." - Normal.
  2. Mine goes in next week for the same issues, hopefully I hear something different. They also quoted the TSB that describes the 1-2 shift as normal after a cold start. Since mine is happening more than just cold starts and in other gears than just 1-2 they're taking a look at it. For what it's worth, the 8 speed is still way smoother than my 16's 6 speed which had parts of the torque converter sheer off and cause other issues at less than 35k.
  3. Not sure what everyone was expecting, 14-19 LD cat-back dual system is ~$1200 MSRP currently with tips but it's the same system they've been running for years. Pretty sure when I got the GM version for my 16' MSRP was about $1200 + tips. New generation brings brand new system, brand new R&D, and brand new sticker shock. The base system feels about where I expected, though I also wish it was lower. I don't disagree it's hard to justify $300 - $1000 for purely cosmetic tips. Although it's twice as many tips as the LD models and stock (which are cheaper now but used to be in the $150-$200 range for two tips). Initial adopters always pay a premium. Side note. GM Factory Upgrade is $1,645 on the GM Accessories site (i'd love to hear a sound clip of the Borlas to compare it with). Borla Cat Back w/ Square Chrome Tips is only slightly more at $1679. So.. now my decisions are to: Stick with the stock tips, save a few hundred of MSRP compared to GM Factory upgrade. Go with new square chrome tips, and pay the premium which is starting at about as much as the Upgrade GM exhaust with stock tips. But I get a pick of touring or s-type. Spend wayy more and get that sexy carbon fiber....... Muffler upgrade (XS Pro maybe) <-- Cheapest (Next to staying stock or Muffler Delete) KISS in Stock form. <-- unacceptable lol Wait a year for distribution to be enhanced and prices to drop.
  4. Here's what I got after contacting Borla: "Thank you for your interest in our exhaust! Your will see a gain of up to 12 horsepower with any of these systems and we will have a demo video available soon. I am also glad to say that there is absolutely no drone in either the Touring or S-type system and no valve is required!"
  5. Thanks @ian@borla i've been waiting to see more about these!! Any sound clips and performance specs coming soon? Also it looks like the pipes curve differently at the end when comparing "Factory Tips" and "Borla Round Tips". So don't purchase factory planning to add aftermarket later. Thanks!!
  6. Maybe not as much "cool" but I noticed a clapping plastic noise whenever i'd close the back doors, there's a spring loaded plastic flapper panel to let the air pressure out when you shut the door. You can see it if you peek in the gap at the back between the bed and cab.
  7. Thanks ian@borla, looks like the website is developing the same story. https://www.borla.com/chevrolet/silverado/2019-chevrolet-silverado-exhaust-systems/ Personally I like the dual tip, but please don't cost as much as the GM variant!!! _fingers_crossed_ Would love to hear any details on release and if a Borla GM certified accessory cat-back will be coming too. So far I've seen soundbites from GM/CORSA/MBRP/FlowMaster/Muffler_Delete but have been holding out for Borla after running it on my last truck. Thanks!
