I have a similar problem but not on hood or roof, but it’s peeling on the black paint of the mirror holders

This just started happening while resting in the vehicle waiting for a ferry to drive onto. We were moving seats up and down as we got in and out vehicle several times while awaiting for a ferry at a ferry terminal on the east coast. Suddenly i goto start the vehicle and goes to a lying down seat position and i had to move it back up and same with easy exit. I never touch set buttons So i repogram my seats and memory holds for a bit. We board a ferry come off my memory gone again. So i reprogram and fine for a while. Then while resting in the vehicle on another day at a lighthouse sightseeing my wife starts vehicle with her fob and her programmed seat position is gone as well and changed to a lying down positions . Im able to reprogram but it does not seem to last. What could it be? Is a module going bad might it have anything do with being near saltwater dampness?

They refunded the repair , and put through warranty

Just reviewed my owners warranty manual , it explicitly covers oil cooler lines and hoses under the 5 year powertrain 160000 warranty i cant believe the dealer missed this. Now i need to pursue a refund

At dealer getting oil change they noticed a leak from the oil cooler hose. At 47000kms . Turns gmpp does not cover it. My contract does exclude hoses under certain maintenance items not covered. This is a maintenance item? Appratly if this hose pops off while your driving’s you risk catastrophic engine failure. Just wonder if anyone has some advice or comments its 400 cad repair.

I understand replace pads when worn. Dealer keeps recommending a brake service (clean and lubricate) to extend life of pads and brakes. Is this necessary and at how many ima from new? I was thinking doing at the 50000 mark my brakes are not even half worn maybe if I recall 35% worn. They wrote on my bill brake service overdue . I don’t see manual recommending brake service. Could this affect my warranty if I don’t do it? Is a brake service lube and clean necessary and at what kms I would say maybe at the half life of the pads? I am canada so roads are salty in winter

Go to a different gm dealer and ask if there is an internal recall. Some dealers drop the ball in awareness or looking them up. Happen to me once with Toyota on another issue. Show them the paint issue, have them explain what it is. What’s the issue ? You getting bubbling or discolouring?. I know fading from sunlight is normal wear and tear.

Is 2018 suburban able to replace wiper inserts as opposed to the whole wiper blade?

Trying looking through settings to do a return to factory settings. Maybe the dead battery causes issues with radio having low voltage corrupting it. If there is a way to reboot it could fix it. If does not do it maybe tge dealer can reflash it. Im just speculating.

I bought mine in march 2018, by factory order and it arrived in may 2018. This enabled me to pick and pay for just what i wanted. What is there to watch out for on shark fin antennas? I heard they can leak but ive never seen any water coming into the cabin. There are few times where sirius shorts out but appears thats just sirius or after i drive under a bridge. I don't like the performance of the fm wire antenna in rear cargo right side window. I find mine has a lot of static on various stations that doesn't happen in my other car which has a standard 8 or so inch roof mount antenna. Could there be something wrong there? I presumed maybe not as other times it works well depending on where i am. I just think its a bit flaky. My brothers kia came dual wire fm antenna on both left and rear sides and that seems a better way to do it. What is there to watch for on the ac condenser? Mine drops a lot of water condensation once i park it. But all my cars have done that so I'd think its normal being a large vehicle. Do i just monitor for reduced performance less cooling? I find performance of motor and transmission perfect so far very smooth powerful no hesitations. Yes i know I've seen a lot of reports on this forum of some pretty serious issues but i notice trends of such is with used purchases. I believe if you buy a 2 or 3 year old vehicle its a high chance of some issues as many prior owners are demos rentals or people who just never cared for them. Ive always purchased new 3 vehicles and all have been solid. Gmpp is 1st ext warranty ive bought and i bought it as risk of loss was too high given just the cost and number of complex parts alone. I think the computerization and simplification of some parts ( parts that cant be repaired and have to be replaced) warrants a warranty on most vehicles today. On one of my other vehicle's one circuit board blew resulted in a second board blowing with it . This resulted in an 800$ repair on a 10 year old vehicle which heating fan speed adjustment failed. a suburban with tri vents control . Im sure a lot can go wrong . What bothers me is at after 84 months im on my own for this vehicle. Ill need to put another fund aside in a savings acct just for after 84 months

Wow now that is pro active. Many people may have something wrong but may not realize it until its too late. Your right on top of testing your vehicle and knowing it well. What was the nature of 2 warranty claims? I just like to know what to look out for and always curious as to issues people experience hence one of the reasons why im in this forum.

I took a $200 deductible. I bought mine 2.5 years in hence i could not include it with my cars financing. My financing rate when i bought the vehicle in 2018 was 1.9%. What year did you buy your vehicle? What trim do you have? Your right though if things go well it may be money thrown away. But I think equal chances something could go wrong. So far 1 year in i had to replace a rear air leveling air bag in which the seal broke causing the compressor to run excessively which was done under manufacturers warranty. But everything else has been perfect. There is not much choice for the amount you spend on this vehicle too much could go wrong if it does ive heard the infotainment system is 3000$ + to replace alone. I had basic digital display radio in my last car go womky after 2 years and replaced under warranty they told me that was a 2000$ part which was overpriced if you ask me. My upgrades alone justify it as i took a luxury pack ,max tow and navigation radio. The problem with power seats is if they go you can't even manually adjust.

Just use none other than top tier gas and if you can budget shell gold it has no ethenol filler. But another affordable way to maximize on top tier is costco regular which is 5x detergent where as most top tier stations are using 2x detergent. Dont worry about it there is not much else you can do. There are some injector head services out there but id like to see if they actually work . Our dealer offer some sort of static charged injector head cleaning decarbonozing service. I worry such things could make things worse. Budget for future valve lifter repair or injector take apart cleaning that may need to be done when carbon buildup effects your engine to a point where it has to be done.

Take to the dealer sounds like your awd is engaging 4wd when it shouldn't. 4wd should never drive on dry payment and when you 4wd on dry pavement you will feel unsual vibrations 4wd is just for bumpy dirt roads off road or deep snow. Awd should remain in 2wd on dry unless slippage is sensed it engages the front.

That's a good question, don't know they are soft and quality a fit well. Although i don't think 3rd row floor was a perfect fit. Although when I push the 3rd row down i switch over to a weather tech full size cargo liner and that works well.

Bought 72 months up to 100,000km as i average 13000 a year for $2718 cad in canada for gmpp was also given financing 10% down , taxes down and rest financed over 18 monthly paymentsno interest or charges. This is the maximum coverage total plus. Is this a fair deal?

I went gm oem liners with dealers 10% off promotion they were similar price as weathertech and fit good

Spend a little more negotiate yourself a new one.

You bought used, and 1st question that should come to mind is how was this car previously used and what was done to vehicle before you. Gm pulled up quite the history on it ,and rental use . The rental use is most concerning and is unpredictable as no one knows what rentees did to it. As another user put its a roll of the dice. There were probably flags to the prior owners that motivated them to sell it. I had friend who never changed his oil once because he never intended keep the vehicle that long. I empathize with you in this situation. You may want seek some legal advice if your out $64000
