  1. I came across this thread looking for O2 sensor info, but for anyone that has had issues mentioned above with your truck dies while driving down the road and EVERYTHING shuts off, it's the ground cable going to your battery is the issue. GM didn't make a recall for this and just issued a new part number that can be replaced. I had this issue that happened to me about 5 times and could never figure it out and neither could the shop I took it too. I found on another forum a couple of years ago when it happened this info I'm sharing right now. I had my shop custom make a new ground cable out of welding cable so it's heavy duty and guaranteed to never fail, which is what I recommend to those experiencing that issue. I wouldn't recommend buying the new replacement part, just have a custom cable made. I also had a 2014 silverado too.
  2. Just for anyone out there that comes accross this topic and forum page, I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado and I'm running a Motofab 2.5" top strut spacer as well as a Motofab 1" lower strut Spacer on the front end. I added the Rough Country Upper control arms and also put in a supreme suspensions front differential drop kit to correct the cv angles. I also added Moog tie rods and paired it with the Rough Country tie rod sleeves to beef up that tie rod arm. In the back I put a 3" block kit and some Rough Country N3 rear shocks. The truck drives great and can still tow my trailer with 4 snowmobiles and tools weighing upwards of 4 tons without a problem. I was able to fit the Moto Metal MO970 20x10's -24 offset with an Atturo Trail Blade X/T 33/12.5/R20 and had to trim maybe an inch off the plastic piece towards the back of the wheel well which you can't even see. The truck does have about a .5" of rake so it looks level which was my overall goal. I already know someone is going to bash how bad the angles are, but it's essentially the same as a 2.5" level kit because the front differential drop kit is 1" thick so there's no need to worry about bad cv angles. Rides great and tows great. No Complaints.
  3. Probably just not enough maintenance. Speaking pf maintenance, get yourself an oil catch can to prevent the carbon buildup in these GDI engines. I had no idea about GDI until my old Traverse started driving like it had asthma and just ended up selling the thing because it was cost a whole lot more to fix than what it was worth. I have the JLT 3.0 oil catch can on my silverado and it's amazing of the gung that it filters out. Your engine will thank you later
  4. Sorry for late reply, I was in Memphis working for the week. But, it was a slow drip. He told me had just above 4 quarts of oil left in the truck when he was changing his oil. I remember when he came over to my house and went he left I'd see a little wet spot in my driveway which was oil dripping from those lines. His oil pressure did go down to 20 or 30 ish but once he started driving it went back up to 40 that it's usually at. GM is a character when it comes to gauges lol.
  5. I have a buddy of mine who had the same PO6DD code come up and he had about 150k miles on his 2015 5.3 silverado. When it popped up he discovered his cooler lines were leaking oil causing the oil pressure to drop so low it threw that code. He had the cooler lines replaced and the code went away for about 2 months but due to the lines leaking oil for so long it caused a lot of stress on the pump which ended having to be replaced. After all that, he hasn't had that code come back up. Crawl up under your truck and check to see if thats what it could be that I just described. Hope that helps
  6. I grounded my second battery to the little support frame right above the battery tray. Just unbolt that support bar and slip in the wire and bolt it back up and you're good to go. I did mine like that and lived in Portland where it rains a lot and never had a problem. I live in Colorado now where it snows a lot and still never had a problem with it.
