  1. Hi I have a 2007 Yukon that only starts ticking when I am parked at idle for 5 to 10 min,,,starts then gets loud. Once I rev the engine or start driving it disappears....Had the whole top of motor redone 3 yrs ago by a dealer.....Broke now and wondering if maybe have someone shut off the afm could possibly stop it being it only happens when I am idling

  4. 2007 GMC YUKON intermittently ticking

synthetic 5w 30 and was just told i could have someone simply reprogram my ecu unit to shut down afm and that probably would fix it.....do you agree ?
  5. Have a 2007 yukon flex fuel 5.3 l for 6 years now..Valve blew at 102k miles...dealer replaced all lifters valves top of moter...Then at 180k started ticking then would stop.Icould be sitting in a drive thru with quiet motor running then all of a sudden ticking would start and last for about 15 minutes then quiet down...Now at 197 happening more and seems to be getting worse the past week after i tried seafoam in it and changed oil again...i have used synthetic since my first major repair...So i guess what i am asking is do you think i am about to be screwed again? or should i try something other than seafoam in oil or is it too late to install the afm on this truck thanks
