  1. I had the Whipple installed by Hennessey Performance. But to deal with the 10.5:1 compression they changed the cam and deleted variable valve timing. How does Vengance Racing deal with the high compression? With the cam they did hardened push rods. Some kind of catch can with positive crankcase ventilation. The ported the heads. Borla touring exhaust. It's a Goliath 650 package. Doing hard runs I'm sitting about 12.5 mpg
  2. I am having no luck proving an SUV windshield will work in a truck using GM part numbers. Even if I look at NO HUD windshields the vehicle fitments only list SUV and the truck windshields only list trucks. If the truck and SUV windshields are truly interchangeable I will ask for an OEM windshield for a 2017 Tahoe with heads up display. The camera bracket (lane departure/assist) p/n is the same for a 2017 tahoe and silverado. But the cameras are not the same.
  3. You could wait for a code, but depending on what is exactly wrong, it could get more expensive the longer you wait.
  4. If you've got an HP Tuner, I would data log and post in the HP Tuners Forum. Or 5ake it back to the dealer. I would be leary of the lifters failing.

  12. I need to figure out where / to do a build thread. But.... this was an awe crap what did I do moment.IMG_4239.HEIC
  13. I had a custom driveshaft made 5" x .125" thick. Added Wilwood Aero6 calipers in the front and Aero4 calipers in the back.
  14. I have a 2017 crew cab Z71 with the 6.2L. The biggest drawback is my stock compression is 10.5:1 which is not good for boost. I chose twin screw (Whipple 2.9L) over centrifugal because I knew torque was my number one goal. Hennessey Performance turned it into a Goliath 650. Ported the heads, deleted AFM and VVT. New cam, lifters and pushrods. New air intake system. Borla cat back touring exhaust. Dyno tuned and street tuned for drivability. 93 Octane gas. 521 Horse and 549 torque at the rear wheels. 20210714_141730.heic
  15. OK reading this brought up a couple of questions. How do airbags effect windshields? According to GM part numbers, the SUV windshield is different from the truck windshield, does anyone know the difference? I want to do the HUD mod but need the HUD compatible glass. Which for 2014 to 2018 looks like tahoe, Yukon and escalade.
  16. Also curious if anyone tried a factory mounting bracket? The suburban heads up display projector is thinner I wonder if it's functionally similiar. Seems like you could use the speaker bezel from one of the vehicles.
  17. I am looking hard at this. But I know there has to be a way you save the defroster vent. You guys have contributed so much, I guess this will be my contribution. My first thought is cutting out the section at the hud projector, then modifying a patch between the two openings that dips below the hud projector or multiple paths around the projector. I am able to 3d print in an area 500mm x500mm x 500mm.
