  1. I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 that is making some severe rubbing noises when turning in 4wd. I've owned this truck for over 4 years and have never had this issue. I am wondering if the wrong oil/low oil level in my transfer case could be the cause as I recently had the transfer case serviced. I have confirmed with GM that it requires ATF, and that is what was used in the recent service, so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on this for me? It has factory tire size with factory rims, and doesn't make the noise when 4wd is not engaged so I'm positive it's not a tire rubbing issue. I should also mention that i'm in Canada and we had 1' of snow on the ground when this was noticed, so it's not a dry road issue. Thanks for any help peeps!!
