  1. Mine has done it since I bought it in early December. ~1700 miles on it now and it has done it randomly since it had 50 miles on it. Exact same symptoms as others, though I've never lost brakes. The brake loss is covered in another thread and does seem to be specific to remote start via the app. I don't think the issues in this thread are related to any sort of OnStar hack or problem. Service ESC Service Parking Brake Check Engine Light Steering Assist is reduced Rough idle/misfire Shakes violently above 50 MPH when it's in this state
  2. Mine does it regardless of type of start. The common factor for me is it’s always after parking somewhere for a short amount of time. Like go to the store for 15 minutes and when I start the truck to go home I get all the codes.
  3. I’ve had this happen 10+ times and haven’t bothered to take it to the dealer because I knew they’d just say they couldn’t reproduce or waste my time some other way. I usually just turn it off and back on and the codes clear and I’m on my way. Really frustrating on such an expensive, brand new truck.
  4. Not only this, but these trucks are also sending realtime data back to OnStar/GM. They're mobile data points. GM will literally tell you if you've hard braked or hard accelerated in a monthly report. If they're saying there's no data, they're likely lying.
  5. Please do. This is identical to the issue I've had. It has gotten less often as I've put mileage on the truck. When I first bought it in early December it was happening nearly every time I got in it after a brief stop. Now it has only happened 1-2 times in the last 2 weeks or so. Nearly every time it has happened simply turning it off and back on has completely resolved the issue. I haven't had time to go to the dealer and don't want them running recall fixes and end up losing my brakes and breaking other things. ? This is my first experience with GM and it's absolutely ridiculous to be having these sorts of software issues on a previous year model truck that cost over 50k. A real shame, because I love the truck otherwise.
  6. Bought a new 2019 this week and this is already happening to me. Had 5 miles on it when I test drove it. Morning after I brought it home I stopped at a store and when I got back in and started it up I had all the same errors: Service ESC, Service Parking Brake, Steering Assist Diminished, etc. It happened again this morning, same scenario. Fine on first start, second start flashed errors. Turning it off on and on cleared the errors. Thankfully in both cases no braking issues. Pretty disgusted to have a 50k+ truck with under 500 miles that already has a major issue. Build date on mine is 04/19.
