Had a similar tick from my 2019 Silverado RST with 2.7L 4 cyl. with 8 speed transmission. Noise as the engine came off cold idle. Then it progressed to ticking while accelerating from a stop. First the dealer said lifters, then said the flex plate (flywheel) was bad. Replaced it but noise was still there. Spent 3 weeks working with a factory tech, even reprogramming the computer. With no luck. Then the transmission tech noticed the service bulletin for the flex plate (19-NA-154) also mentioned the starter. When he pulled it he could hear loose parts rattling around. Replaced it and all is quiet, so far. And it only took 8 weeks to realize the starter was bad.
