Just had this exact thing happen to my 2017 gmc sierra 1500, severe cold snap here overnight -30 before wind, went to remote start it and nothing. Tried the key, wouldn't turn in the ignition no matter what i did/tried. Going to get a mobile mechanic here today to see what he can do.

Battery read 11v when I plugged it in this morning, maybe that's it. Will try again in a bit here

Should have mentioned that the remote start won't work either, have a feeling it's to do with the extreme temp here right now

2017 gmc sierra 1500, went to go start my truck on yesterday morning and the ignition would not turn with my key. I tried my spare, jiggling the wheel, moving the column up/down/in/out, moving the shifter and even used heat to maybe thaw it out (it's -25c in Canada where I live). Never had this issue before in the 4 years I've owned the truck. Only 80k Km on it. Anyone else had this issue or have tips? Thanks guys
