I have a 2023 Sierra Ultimate Denali and know that on some CarPlay vehicles (not Sierras) I’ve seen an option to expand the CarPlay Apple Map to full screen from the current, about 2/3 screen size. It basically looks like the Google Map screen using all the screen real estate.

Yes I read it. But I focused on the MHS said it was a column shifter which I don’t have. So I agree it must be MHS. Thanks getgone for your exceptional reading skills…Quite the attitude there.

Redwngr - Mine must be MQC because the shifter isn’t mounted on the column. It’s stick shift-like, on the console, spring loaded to center. Thanks for the detailed response.

I think there are 2 types of 10-speed transmissions available for my Sierra. I have the 6.2 liter engine. Is there a code printed somewhere on the truck that I can find it?

It’s happened to me a couple of times. I put in Park, shift to 4x4 low. Let it cycle to that, then select 2 wheel drive. That fixes my 2016 1500 Sierra.

I just ordered one from ADCmobile for my 2016 Sierra. Current one’s lens is scratched. Looking forward to being able to see my backup camera more clearly with higher definition too. I called ADCmobile before I ordered and talked to a real nice guy right away without going through the usual “press 1 for English” … or any other computer prompts. He answered a question I had and said it takes less time to install than the time we were on the phone. Thanks to Rock1500 for asking the question. The camera’s been bugging me for over a year and never considered that there was an easy was to replace it.

I’ve tried everything mentioned here. The repair process does work but I shouldn’t have to do that. That’s why I thought the problem is with the GMC firmware.

I’ve had my 2016 GMC 1500 truck for about a year and a half now. The only thing I can’t figure out is why the Apple CarPlay doesn’t always work when I plug my iPhone 12 Pro in. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a GMC firmware update? Thanks.

FWIW, my iPhone 12 Pro works fine with CarPlay in my 2016 Sierra. I’m pretty sure the iPhone 12 series of phones all use the same basic chips, so the 12 mini should work fine.

I just had the Falken Wildpeak AT3W P265 65 R18s mounted on my stock wheels. They have a really aggressive tread but have a really smooth ride. Truck tracks down the road very smoothly. Can’t wait (yes I can) to try them out in the snow. Got them online at $201/per tire. They are rated for 55,000 miles. I did have to pay $80 for the mount at my local garage but still think it’s worth it. Any comments on what I can expect in the future? Thanks.
