  1. Thanks for the replies. Tried removing the negative lead for 10 minutes. No luck. Tried pushing the Onstar button. no green light. Service is paid for.
  2. Hi everyone, I have a 2022 Sierra and I’m having a very first world issue. My GMC app does not communicate with my OnStar. The reason why I generally use it is when I am trying to remote start my truck from outside of key fob range. The OnStar Green Light does not show so the telephone customer service has told me I need to go to the dealer. Before taking my truck to the dealer and wasting a morning, I’d rather take the take out the fuse and see if that will reset the OnStar. Therefore, I am looking for the fuse that controls the OnStar. I saw another where they indicated that it was F 23 however, this is for the prior model and this space is empty on my truck. thanks.
  3. I have a 2022 sierra with the Duramax 3.0 and the max tow package. I have a brand new boat with a brand new boat mate trailer. I took my truck in a few weeks ago to have this issue checked out. They told me the trailer light module had a short so they had to replace it. They ordered it. It took a week to come in and another week to get me set for an appointment. Today the tech says that he didn’t really understand how the trailer system worked so he thought there was a short in the system. But since my truck worked with a box trailer at the dealership he concluded that the truck is fine and did not replace the trailer light module. Well, the trailer that works perfectly fine with my wife’s forerunner and my sons Tacoma does not work with my $70,000 truck with the max tow package. I’m going out on trip tomorrow over some major mountain passes so the forerunner or the Tacoma will not work. I need my truck to be able to tow this trailer. Does anybody know of a workaround that will allow my truck to see the trailer so that the brake lights work and the surge brakes work. I’m not so concerned about it showing up in the driver information center or the blinker showing up I’m really just concerned with the safety aspect of us right now, thanks in advance. As you might be able to tell from the tenor of this post I am extremely disappointed and upset. My understanding is there is a flaw in the system when it tries to recognize a trailer with LED lights. But my dealership had the foresight or lack there of to put a technician on the truck who has minimal understanding of the tow system.
  4. The dealership determined that the trailer light control module has a short in it so they’ve ordered a new module. Are you aware of a temporary fix that would allow the trailer lights to work when connected to the seven point connection. I’m not overly concerned about the trailer not showing up on the driver information center. However, I can’t tow the trailer with the lights not working. Apparently, the module’s availability is undetermined at this point.
  5. You might be right. It's insane. My truck has less than 13k on the odometer and has had a number of problems already.
  6. I bit the bullet and took it in but it's doubtful they'll get to it before next week. What a PITA. Trailer works fine with my wife's 4Runner. A Tundra is looking real good right now.
  7. I have a 2022 GMC Sierra with the max trailering package. Yesterday, I hooked up the truck to my Boatmate trailer. Initially, it worked fine. The trailer display has worked fine on the other 3 to 4 times I've trailered this boat/trailer combo. Yesterday, I drove about 4 miles to the gas station. Topped off the boat's tank and began pulling away from the pump. While pulling away, the forward collision alert warning light came on and the display indicated the trailer was disconnected. I pulled over to see if the trailer lights were working and maybe a malfunction on the display. Nope. The lights and surge brakes did not work. I then tried turning the truck off and back on and disconnecting and reconnecting the 7 pin connection. Nothing worked. I have a Curt tester. It showed 12 volts but when I tried the brakes or other lights, the tester did not show any signals. I checked the fuse for the FCA which was fine and put that back in. The FCA went off. My wife brought her 4Runner up to the gas station and we hooked up the trailer to her truck. Lights and surge brakes worked fine. I've searched through the internet and haven't found any fixes. There's a service bulletin that seems to blame a poor connection on the trailer. However, I think it's the truck. The trailer worked fine on my wife's Toyota. It's a brand new trailer. Prior to yesterday, the trailer was to the lake 2 times. This is very frustrating.
  8. Has anyone had a fix performed by their dealer that has continued to work? My lane keep assist and forward collision warning are both not working at about 3,900 miles. The forward collision alert warning light came on Tuesday night while driving home from work. It was not illuminated on the way to work. Same with the lane keep assist. That seems, to me, to be a software issue or chip issue rather than the window camera malfunction. I still don't have the parking assistant chip installed. My bluetooth is buggy too. It drops out a lot. It's very disheartening.
