I looked in the dic, and saw nothing related to the remote or programming. But as luck would have it when I got home this morning I did the same thing as the other day, which is exactly what you stated. Hit the lock button and then hold the start button down. Within a few seconds the parking lights flashed and it started. I guess changing both of the batteries might have tripped it off so maybe it required them to be programmed again? I looked on the site for as much info as possible, but didnt get the answer I was looking for, so here is what I have...... I purchased my truck (2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax) used from an individual last year. It has the AP3 code (not AP7 or AP8), but it does have the remote start button on both (factory) key fobs. It isn't working, does nothing. I figured the key fob may have to be programmed, but every web search i've seen is something different than what my truck has. Does the AP3 code not have what is needed to have and use remote start?? If not, what's missing? My truck came with the SLE (preferred) convenience package consisting of adjustable power pedals, universal home remote, remote vehicle starter system, rear parking assist & rear window defogger. These are the 3 codes that cover the remote start from what I've found. AP3 LOCK CONTROL REMOTE, KEYLESS ENTRY, START AP7 LOCK CONTROL, ENTRY REMOTE, KEYLESS START, PASSIVE AP8 LOCK CONTROL, REMOTE ENTRY, EXTENDED RANGE Thanks for any help on this matter.
