Thanks CamGTP. So if it was made with no EGR; then to have the P0404 code means it does not have the original computer?...or can original computer throw that code even never having an EGR?

Hello everyone, here in California & just got a 2002 4.8L that is now getting a P0404 EGR code, but truck has no EGR system. Has a " factory no EGR exhaust manifold". So I can't tell if it was made with no EGR system of if someone deleated it properly. Did some research, many looking for their missing EGR, but haven't seen anyone else say they have P0404 coming up without an EGR system. Did I get a California truck or ECU that came with EGR, but with the EGR system deleted by previous owner? Any help is appreciated!
