  1. Good idea. Looking at my truck, I have 20k on the the truck and no chips yet. I'm thinking my factory side steps/running boards prevent this. Any thoughts?
  2. I had thinning black paint under the clear coat on the rear cab pillars (both sides). Could see the primer through the clear coat. I took it to a GMC dealer that has a good body shop. They did a nice job painting the pillars and can't even notice the old from new. Under warranty. I was a bit pissed but it worked out ok.
  3. I took my truck to dealer and got the BCM update and new bulbs. I tried it out last night in the country and will say it is a major improvement. Overall better brightness and peripheral vision greatly improved in low beam and high beam is major improvement. I still think the lights need to be aimed a tad higher as I still have the somewhat low sight line while in low beam. I now have no complaints about this awesome truck. BTW, my dealer said I was the third Sierra that he performed the update on. I took my truck to dealer and got the BCM update and new bulbs. 4. My truck was built November 2014 and I can say that mine certainly are NOT the new bulbs.
  5. 3000 miles on mine and several stone chips on my front bumper already. I also noticed a small area of primer bleed through (thin paint) on one of my cab pillars (rear driver side of cab).
  6. Last Friday it was a high of 1 F. After the truck sat for a while I used the remote start (2 cycles) and the seat was good and toasty when I sat on it. It does work with remote start. I have found that in the morning when truck is at its coldest it dies not appear to be warm but is just slow to warm from long term cold.
  7. http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2014/gmc/sierra_1500/exterior_lighting/problem.aspx Check this out. I can't figure out how to post a link.
  8. Oh, I'm sure customer service is monitoring this thread and mum is the word.
  9. I thought I subscribed to this thread but not receiving update notifications. I definately need to find out about a better bulb solution without spending $. The lights suck.
  10. I also had one seal go on my 2012 HD at around 30k miles. Was covered under warranty. At 44k now and everything OK. Steve
  11. Do you have limited slip rear end? I had this problem as you describe in an 05 HD with limited slip axle and it turned out to be lack of additive in the gear oil. I do told last week by my local gm service manager that the limited slip axkes come from the factory with synthetic gear oil and also a certain additive in the LS axles. Could be the additive was never added? If your dealer can duplicate the vibration , Im sure they will figure out what it is. Good luck.
