  1. No kidding. You don’t happen to have any other information on that update do you?
  2. They love to blame DFM. Does your radio cut out randomly like your Bluetooth keeps dropping and reconnecting for seconds at a time?
  3. Just messing around some more. If I disconnect my Bluetooth and create a WiFi network and connect the radio to my phone as a WiFi hotspot instead of Bluetooth the radio doesn’t cut out. As soon as I turn the Bluetooth on the audio cut outs return. I’m thinking this is more of a Bluetooth connection issue than anything else. So my question is what connects when I connect my phone via blue tooth? Is the Bluetooth built into the radio or a separate module? Thank you in advance!
  4. You’re the man new dude! Helped me out so much throughout the years. Hopefully I can repay the favor one day. I’m going to show this to the dealer. You have a friend if you ever find yourself in Illinois my dude! Thank you!
  5. Gotchya, thank you! Have you had any luck with getting the audio cut-out glitch fixed or is it something that’s just going to always be there?
  6. 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 3.0 Duramax - my infotainment radio kept locking up and the audio would cut out randomly when listening to music, brought it in to the dealer and they replaced the whole infotainment display. It doesn’t lock up anymore, but the audio still randomly cuts out every 20 minutes or so. The old one would cut out for about 1 second, the new one cuts out for about .5 second. I know there’s several people with the same complaints but I haven’t heard of a solid fix yet. Anyone figure this one out yet? Thank you in advance! Another weird thing, the dealer left the carpet cover that covers the modules on the passenger side of the truck off, while waiting in line at the car wash I hopped out and snapped the 3 rivets into place. I walked around to the driver side and my amp step didn’t deploy right away like normal, when I got in the truck the DIC said key fob not detected. I took a ballsy move and shut the truck off and turned it back on and the key fob not detected message went away but the buttons that change the channel on the steering wheel didn’t work. I got to where I was going and pulled that cover off to make sure everything was secured and it looked like it was. Left the truck parked for about 4 hours and when I came back it all started working again. I tried jiggling the harnesses under there to see if it would happen again, but it hasn’t happened again. Think it’s coincidental or is there a controller on the passenger side under the dash that might be loose or something? Thanks again!
  7. I just had my radio replaced because it was locking up and the audio was cutting out. My build is Y175, is this the most up to date version? The audio still cuts out every 20 minutes or so, would Y172 fix this or probably not? Thank you!
  8. Couldn’t agree more, GM customer service is TERRIBLE! lol!
  9. I had a clunking noise from the rear suspension in my last GMC, they torqued down the u-bolts that hold the leaf packs together and it seemed to make it go away. Not sure if that’s your issue but some friendly information. The radio thing sucks lol. If I get that figured out I’ll reach back out. Have a good weekend!
  10. On the 2025 does the radio cut out for a second at a time every 20 minutes or so? On my 2024 it didn’t do it at first, or I didn’t notice it, but now that’s driving me crazy lol.
  11. I had my tires road forced balanced, dealership lied to me and said 3 passed one was out of tolerance but they rebalanced it and is all good. I Called them out on their bullshit, had them road forced balanced again, 3 out of 4 tires were so far out of tolerance that they replaced them under warranty, I paid for the fourth new tire just because, I had all 4 new tires road forced balanced, it’s comical how many weights they used to get them to pass the road force balance (or so they say it passed they still wouldn’t get me a report), I still get a little bounce and it’s not perfect but it’s 1000% better than it was. I have the crappy Goodyear duratracs on there and they wouldn’t pay for another brand so they replaced them with the same crappy Goodyear duratracs, I’d bet if I got a better quality tire the bouncing would probably be even better. I can’t say for sure that’s your issue, but the new tires and road force balancing seemed to make my bounce tolerable now. I hope you get yours figured out! For the price of these rigs we shouldn’t have to screw around with them so much, but that seems like the way of the world these days. Wish you the best man! Keep us posted!
  12. I don’t notice the bounce at lower speeds. It’s more noticeable the faster I go. Above 40 mph it’s noticeable. If I hit the 80 mph mark is extremely noticeable.
  13. Would it be ok to replace the rear shocks only or do you guys think I need to replace the rears and the fronts? I wanted the bilstein 5160’s but after so much research I’m thinking just going with the 5100’s might be ok. I don’t plan on off roading and if I did it’d be a slow ride down a cool road, nothing crazy or extreme so I’m thinking the oil chamber might not really benefit me at all. Am i thinking about this clearly or are there other benefits to the 5160 that I’m not seeing? My thinking is it’s for heat dissipation when off roading and doesn’t have much to do with additional ride quality right?
  14. Thank you. Air pressure had very little if any noticeable change. It sounds like it’s going to take some playing around on this one. Thank you again for the reply. Have a good day.
  15. It has 20” rims with the duratracs. Adjusting tire psi up and down made no change. I’m leaning towards suspension. I know it’s an off road package but damnnnn so bouncy. It’s almost like the springs and or shocks are overly sensitive. Almost to the point of making me sick. Dealer states no lights no problems can’t reproduce operating as normal. Not wasting my time with those bozos unless a CEL comes on. I’m wondering if the Eibach stage 2 would clear up the bounce.
  16. Sorry forgot to hit the quote button on my above reply. Thank you.
  17. It makes everything jiggle lol.
  18. It’s hard to explain and I don’t want to sound TOO dumb, but it’s kind of like a jackhammer type bounce. Not quite a vibration but many rapid small bounces. It’s like someone is rapidly dribbling a basketball very closely to the ground.
  19. Do you think installing like the eibach pro truck stage 1 suspension solve the issue or would that be a waste of money and not do a whole lot on a AT4? I debated trading it in already as well to be honest but I owe way to much on it and just can’t take the hit right now. I also thought about maybe just throwing a set of bilstein 5100’s just in the rears because it’s cheap and easy, but again I’m not so sure if that’ll do much for my issue.
  20. Hey guys. I have a 2024 GMC sierra AT4 3.0 duramax. When I’m traveling at higher speeds the ride is crazy bouncy. It’s like driving a basketball down the road. I thought it was the crappy wrangler tires so I went to the dealer and had them road forced balanced. 3 out of 4 couldn’t be balanced and were replaced under warranty. I paid for the 4th one thinking well at least it’ll solve my problem. Replacing and balancing the tires did nothing. It’s bounces crazy down the road at higher speeds. It might even be worse with the new tires. I’m at the point of hating driving this thing. Anyone else have a bouncy ride and figured out how to fix it? I have approximately 2500 miles on the truck and it’s been doing it since 0 miles. I figured well maybe things need to break in, but that doesn’t seem like the case. Thank you guys in advance.
  21. Thanks. No adjustments. Had the dealer install the little VLEDS led license plate light bar and holy smokes is that thing bright. 100% fixed my rear view camera issue.
  22. So the dealership director talked me into dumping my 2020 gmc Sierra 1500 elevation 5.3 due to vibration issues that no one can figure out and I bought a 2024 gmc 1500 AT4 3.0. Truck is nice, the Bose radio totally sucks, installed that kicker sub and it’s kind of ok now I guess. But wtf is going on with the cameras!? I can’t see a damn thing at night. The truck has about half dozen cameras and the only one that you can kind of see anything at night is the front camera. I’m really bummed out by this. My 2020 had an amazing camera. Did something change? Is there a fix for this? It’s always something with GM I’m so sick of it.
  23. Appreciate all of this info Doug! Thank you!
  24. Would anyone be kind enough to send me the procedure to replace the camshaft actuator magnet on a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 w/dfm 10 speed please? Thank you.
  25. I’ve been chasing this same problem in my 2020 elevation for years now. Valve body replaced (issue disappeared for a few thousand miles then came back), torque converter replaced (same thing issue disappeared for a few thousand miles then came back), cam shaft actuator magnet replaced (seemed to make the vibrations worse). I’ve ran through about 8 dealers and they have got to the point of charging me a diagnostic fee as soon as I walk in the door in an attempt to keep me from coming back. That GM social media email is pretty useless, they’ll make an appointment for you and that’s about it. I hate to say it but I don’t think that issue will ever be fixed. Seems like L9 makes the vibrations disappear for me as well. It’s seems like the DFM makes the transmission shudder.
